@meszar.imola, @TiagoCardoso, Yes, I think it's a great question. I wouldn't suggest deleting it by any means. I was just wondering if there was a way to apply more to the field of project management, but am not implying that it absolutely needs any edits. ;)
It also got great answers, which is awesome! @meszar.imola, thank you for continuing to contribute awesome questions to our community. :)
Hey PM Peeps, there's a question on the Workplace SE that is a PM question. Feel free to weigh in if you think you can help!

Q: Introducing daily standup meeting to old workplace

GravitonTo have a better understanding of the project status and a better relationship with the developers who report to me, I want to introduce daily standup meeting ( as per suggested) to the developers in my office, but the problem is that this is never a part of our culture, and I afraid that introd...

@jmort253 huh, really interesting question :)

Indeed, a great question that would fit PMSE like a glove. But I know that there's no such thing like a sharp line to split PMSE and WorkplaceSE... so just left there a comment that I consider it would fit PMSE.
I don't think that would be correct to close vote it as 'offtopic' as it's not the case...
what do you think we could do, @jmort253?

I'm not sure if it's a good idea to ask and bother you with this, but I saw at this question, that the guy who asked didn't edit it, only put some more details in a comment. Should I move the details in the question? I'm talking about this: pm.stackexchange.com/questions/8231/…

@meszar.imola Yes! Please go for it.
These comments he added should've been added to the question itself as you pointed out... would be good if you could edit it + left him a comment why you did that way... this way he'll know how to proceed next time :)

@TiagoCardoso CodeGnome did this job, while I was hesitating :)

@meszar.imola no worries. Anytime you see that something may be improved, go for it. I believe that our pmse community is one of the best communities we have in SE, so don't hesitate in improve things
in the worst case scenario, everything can be undone :)
but I'm sure if won't be required

Yes, it's a pretty good community :)
but it would be a strange thing to manage in wrong way a project management Q&A site :D
anyhow, I enjoy it

Hahaha
I was chatting with @jmort253 about it some days ago, @meszar.imola
I believe our community doesn't have much questions because people is afraid to be wrong
I include myself on this list
But I'm trying to be more (more) open-minded on this aspect... because accepting I can make mistakes is my first step to improve myself
leaving for lunch... see ya!

good appetite!
@TiagoCardoso I think, you're right
you can add me to that list too
in many cases, answering, commenting or asking a question I'm afraid to be kicked out and will receive negative comments
however, it's not working here in this case
I saw in many cases, at really dummy and not-for-this-page questions, that the first thing the user receive is a "please, edit your comment", which is legit almost in every case

@meszar.imola - We are a pretty nice bunch here, and that's by default. The only time I ever had to tell someone to "be nice" was when one of our posts made it on to Reddit, and we got flooded with traffic from that community. :)
Also, if you're not sure how to word a question, this chat is a great resource to bounce around ideas. :)
We'll never kick you out for asking a question. ;) Question-askers are like gold here.
Hey @TiagoCardoso, I think this meta post from Robert Cartaino applies to our tag situation:

Q: A Note on Tag Wiki Excerpts

Robert CartainoI've had to reject and roll back a lot of tag wiki entries, and I'd like to explain what we are looking for. See Improved Tagging. Tag wikis are about why you would use a tag. Tag wikis are not to define the term being used. Avoid generically defining the concept behind a tag, unless it is high...

The short version is this: Tag Wiki excerpts should say what questions should have the tag, not define the topic.

@jmort253 "Question-askers are like gold here". Ditto!

I'm leaving now, have a nice day/evening you guys

See ya, @meszar.imola ! Have a nice weekend ahead :)

5:19 PM
@jmort253 It seems we have plenty of work to do in our tags... hehe. I'd suggest we could focus on the most critical (I believe)... and
Actually, it seems you guys already did it. Either way, I've slightly changed the excerpt... please review and revert in case you don't believe it's necessary to reinforce the idea of a superset on the tag excerpt.

Hey Graviton, normally we discourage cross-posting, but in this case, we really feel like your question fits both Project Management SE as well as Workplace SE. Feel free to post this there as well and make any edits that might be needed to address project managers. — jmort253 1 min ago
You might see this workplace SE question reposted here. It's sort of a special case.
