Q: Field with one element as a "classical limit"?

Henry ParkThe number of points on the $(n-1)$-dimensional projective space $P^{n-1}(\mathbb{F}_q)$ over a finite field $\mathbb{F}_q$ is the $q$-integer $$[n]_q := \frac{q^n-1}{q-1}.$$ In analogy, the number of points on the $(n-1)$-dimensional projective space $P^{n-1}(\mathbb{F}_{un})$ over the field wit...

@MartinR It seems to be posted now on MathOverflow: $q$ as a prime power and a root of unity.
In any case, since the post was deleted, it will be removed automatically if it is not used in another post for the next 24 hours. (Unless the question is undeleted again.)

Now I have noticed that the tag-wiki for unicode mentions: "For non-standard characters, MathJax is preferred."
To me this seems like encouraging the incorrect practice to write things such as K\"{u}mmer or perhaps even "K$\"{u}$mmer. I'd say it might be better to remove this sentence from the tag-info.
Or perhaps the user who wrote it meant mathematical formulas by "non-standard characters"?

I would assume that it refers to mathematical formulas only, as in math.meta.stackexchange.com/q/22630/42969 (\theta vs θ)
