A: How to differentiate between (elementary-number-theory) and (number-theory)

John How to differentiate between (elementary-number-theory) and (number-theory)? Wouldn't things be cleaner if we just ... didn't? Currently there are only three tags that have elementary in them: elementary-number-theory elementary-set-theory elementary-functions Having a distinction for e...

John suggests merging (elementary-number-theory) and (number-theory).

Q: Whats the use of tag “book-recommendation”?

sashaI have seen people asking for book recommendations. But as it is opinion based it is removed. Then what is the use of the tag "book-recommendation" ?.

In an answer, it was explained that the question was a problem from the most recent Mathematics Magazine Problems section, and that the answerer was in fact the author of the problem. [I did look at MM's June issue, and there the problem is:] It's certa...
