@kimholder yep, curious what's up on the moon. I'm contemplating how a canvas can be too 4chan - do you mean it's too anything goes and shocking, disgusting and illegal? :)
I was going to also ask if I should still try to read and watch the radiation dose versus shielding thickness stuff - do you think you have a sufficient answer?
@uhoh i think so. i updated a 3d model i'd made for blocking GCR with the improved information. It ended up not being a big change to the model, but the notes had to be changed a lot.
4chan to me is just generally rambunctious and order constantly bordering on chaos, and that's how they like it. that's what i meant
it's movie time for me and hubby now. cheers ;)

@kimholder Have fun watching "other people's screens" for a change :)
woa! these models are much more advanced than what I remember a while ago - this is a ton of work!!
I like the solar collectors - off-axis just like radio telescopes. Beautiful!
Later, can you point me to how to find the shielding and the notes you've mentioned? I'm fairly timid with 3D UI's .
Oh! I see it. Oh, this is very easy to use!! OK I will go exploring today. Wow, nice site!

@uhoh i'm glad you like it. :) as it happens, the models will all be moved to a different platform over the next 4 to 6 weeks :P
the sophistication of available services in this area has been evolving quickly, and we're going to upgrade to a more powerful platform that is also open source, a core value of the project.
if you see a technical weakness in the material on the website, i'd be grateful if you could mention it.

Sometimes I need to quickly upload a screenshot or image for something. Registering for some image sharing site is too much work, so I have many times added an image to a random post and then abandoned the edit. That gives me an i.stack.imgur link. I wonder if this is a bad thing or not...
