@geffchang we'll wait for more candidates, so if I win it won't be due to me being the only choice :) And Matthew has asked SE for a second slot. And thanks for your trust – I hope to live up to it! Or, as Matthew put it: "Izzy is already moderating the site, and I for one think we need to make it official" :)
I've heard @AndrewT. considers running, and Firelord is thinking about it. Guess the single slot is discouraging them with me already nominated (I might have waited for them to jump on board first – but they'd smell a rat and wouldn't fall for the trick :)
@MatthewRead That explains our other question from yesterday. I'm member here for 3y8m now, so I was just around for about a quarter of a year when the last selections took place. Much too early to even consider nominating myself :)

Just curious. Has anyone in the low-rep range ever been elected to become a moderator on SE network? (By low-rep, I meant just above 300, the minimum, and below 5k)

Hey guys, I'm not going to continue moving messages out of this room as long as they're generally election-related -- but try to focus on candidates and moderator traits, etc., as Grace's first message mentions. The main chatroom is a better place for trivia and other conversation, and there or Meta for general election questions
