@JoonasIlmavirta Fitting!

@JoonasIlmavirta Oh, I'm so sorry.
@cmw Hmm what prompted this reply?
As a definition of the Jugurthine Wat, it is weird.

@Cerberus I asked it which Roman war had the largest geographical spread. It couldn't really answer that, so then I asked about the wars of Marius and Sulla. It said it was localized to Italy. I then asked it to consider all the wars connected to Marius and Sulla before or after their civil war. This is what it spit out.

@cmw Hmm so a rather incomplete answer, but at least it isn't nonsense?
I don't know enough about that period...

@Cerberus Well, Marius most certainly did have a significant role in the Jugurthine War. There's a whole section about it on Wikipedia.

@cmw Yeah I saw that, but it isn't part of the civil war between Marius and Sulla? It was just Roman against barbarian?

@Cerberus I asked it to include all the wars linked to Marius and Sulla before and after their war.
Not only civil wars. So including the Jugurthine War, Cimbrian War, First Mithridatic War, etc.

@cmw Okay, so I'm not sure what you wanted to tell us.
What, in your opinion, did Chat GPT do that was bad/good?
The fact that there were wars related to Marius and Sulla outside Italy doesn't mean the war between them wasn't limited to Italy?

@Cerberus Marius played a significant role in the Jugurthine War, whereas Chat GPT says he didn't.
The rest is just an explanation of what I said as you asked.
@cmw Ahh I missed that bit.
Yeah that is nonsense indeed.

@Cerberus It does that quite a bit. Did you hear about the lawyer who used it, and it gave him non-existent cases?
I'll believe it!
It makes stuff up all the time.
