@JoonasIlmavirta I'm replying to this rather late, but I must say, I'm not sure how much I identify with American culture. If I were to claim a culture, it would most likely be Western culture, especially music and literature, e.g. Mozart, Beethoven, Shakespeare, the Bible, and the classics.
Mark Twain, Nathaniel Hawthorne, and John Steinbeck don't mean all that much to me. And although I love watching movies, few are special.
I do feel, however, a bit like a midwesterner. The midwest is often a more relaxed place than the east coast. The east coast has more of a status complex. The west coast is obsessed with innovation and technology. In these regards, I identify with the midwest.

Hello there!
I've been told that Lux Intra means the light inside, and Lux Natura means the light in nature, but for some reason I think the grammar/declension is incorrect there. Unfortunately, I don't have the knowledge of Latin to back up my instinct, it just feels wrong.

@GhotiandChips You can make the question more about fishing than the fish. You can ask for good translations for those things with good explanations so that you can translate similar things on your own later.
That would make a good question. And asking for something to help you get on your own two legs with Latin should look more appealing to many answerers and voters than a mere translation request.

What a tease! haha. I'd rather not make a question, though, thanks. I tend to really prefer adhering to the site's ethos of general use cases, rather than specific (in this case) translations that would only help me in this situation.
Hence why I use chat, but I still maintain some inquisitiveness and express wanted to know Why it is the way it is, rather than just what the translation is. I hope it makes sense and it isn't a transgression or offends anyone.

One tool you might find useful is the Perseus website, specifically its Latin word study tool. perseus.tufts.edu/hopper/morph?lang=la
It can parse a word for you and tell you all the possible meanings, parts of speech and cases.
You can plug the words of those phrases into Perseus, and come up with possibilities.

I suppose lux natura is correctly light in nature, because the ablative form of natura is natura. If one asks "The light in where?" one would answer "in nature", thus ablative has to be used, correct?
And lux, *"light") being the subject in "light in nature" would also be correct considering the nominative is lux.

I think natura is an ablative noun meaning "in nature". So you get, "light in nature". In the other phrase, intra is either a preposition or adverb meaning "inside" or "within". So you get "the light inside".

It took me a while because Cerberus' answer to that other question about "Ex Lux" threw me off, I wanted to be extra careful.
I think "Ex lux" is wrong because "from light" means you want the ablative form of Lux, being Luce, so "Ex luce" would be more correct

Lux can only be nominative or vocative. It cannot follow "ex". But you see it in phrases like Lux Aeterna, a movement from Mozart's requiem.

The Wikipedia article is so detailed in its description of each movement, that I'm learning a lot about the piece just from reading it.
e.g. I just learned the meaning of a ritornello ("little return") which features 4 times in the opening movement, in between the exposition, development and recapitulation.

It's always kinda awkward when I talk to someone sitting down, and then we both stand up, and they're like two feet taller than me.
I was talking to this dude au musée, and he's like 6'6, which granted is not anywhere near two feet taller, but feels like it.
The proper position for looking at a basketball player is sitting, not standing.
That's why we watch them on TV.

Lately, I've been thinking a lot about the human voice. I think it's a truism which we take for granted that our voice affects the brains of others.
I think our voice can be a medicine. We see it happen in talk therapy when patients are treated for depresssion. But our voice can also be corrosive.
