@cmw: Without labels you would have to preface every sentence with a definition/ explanation of that doctrine; then, with the audience (possibly) losing interest, attempt to make the point that had wished to make in the first place. If the labels are inadequate or misleading, that will soon come to light.

@Joonas: Recently, by accident, I came across an old TV-prog., "The Caesars" (1968), made in black-&-white. It's as good as "I Claudius", top-class acting, there's just less of it (six-episodes terminating with the accession of Claudius). If you love things Roman, you will like this. Available on Amazon.
