I agree for the most part (it happened the same to me when I was in school, and happens now since the master's degree is in english) but after years have passed, it seems to me that not everybody has the same skills for languages

for me is quite easy to learn a new language, but for other people it isn't

in a sense, "low-low" is like a second-order lowing, like "the level of lowlyness is low", so in this way, low-low can mean high
