Top tip: don't persuade them. Just use Stack Exchange yourself. Show it to them when relevant. And then see if they pick it up. If they discover on their own that Yahoo! Answers has several shortcomings that SE might address, they'll come on over.

If you've already preached SE to them and they don't care, preaching more won't help.
Maybe the bottom categories are not stalkers to begin with and just kind of enjoy your company/obsessively compulsively feel the urge to add you to their network/really mean no harm to begin with?

@kalina Not much you can do other than be extremely careful about where you post personally identifiable information, which you've said you already do. Keep records of harassment in places that are moderated so you have proof you can show higher-ups if things get out of hand. Don't feed the trolls. Surround yourself with people who care and can help look out for troublemakers. I don't think I have any advice you don't already know.

@SaintWacko Usually. The classic controller actually seems pretty crappy. After a year or so of disuse the D pad and analog stick turned a bit yellow and the analog sticks got all nasty with stuff unlike any controller I've ever had

@Unionhawk Well it harms SEO for another reason (your site's pages should link to each other properly) but referrers still work and get tracked. The problem is it's triggering a "back" function instead of leading to a new page. Which has the secondary effect of not actually giving you the right page unless your flow is perfect, and no one breaks the flow
