1. How does a backstab not crit

My whole question is about the only way I know of for turning crits in regular hits, and your own answer says that backstabs ignore that effects.

@RonanForman By powering the switch on the floor, the block covering the piston gets removed (or pretend that I've done that wiring), creating a block update that powers the piston below the floor, preventing it from raising.

IIRC, you had the same problem

Although I think I fixed that issue eventually.
