I like summertime because I have absurd amounts of flexibility in hours worked. When sun goes down at 5 and I have to stop working by 4, it's tougher to do that. :/

So it seems that my CPU is a bit of a bottleneck.
Now what I'm asking is if aanyone can tell me which settings are mainly CPU dependant so I can adjust them?

I bought a PC gamepad at Radio Shack that appears to be functioning in windows 7, as I tested it in its configuration window. However, I cant get it to work in Black Ops II. It has the most recent drivers. Is there a way to get this to work with this game or do I need to get an xbox controller...
When you say 'can't get it to work', does that mean it doesn't do anything at all in the game? Does it work in the menus? Have you looked in the in-game 'settings' menu to see if you have to enable it? Also, which game are you using? This information would all be helpful in finding an answer. — GnomeSlice2 mins ago
@LessPop_MoreFizz It's a good start though. But yeah, you're right, I don't know why it was downvoted. It just seems like it was because of the tag because otherwise I don't think it would have been voted on at all so quickly.
@pixel I'm not so sure, I mean, his gamepad works on the system, but not for this game. Most likely, a) the game doesn't support his exact model, or b) he hasn't enabled it in the in-game settings.
@GnomeSlice Or c) he's using an outdated driver, or d) he needs to download a patch for the game, or e) the game supports his gamepad, but only if it's remapped with some other third party program or f...

@GnomeSlice Questions asking for help with your exact specifications are too localized because they are too localized. The only person who will find it useful is the user, and they will only find it useful until they get a new computer/ upgrade.

@Sterno I disagree, I think it's possibly to define both terms, I mean you'd never be able to call some DLC expansion packs, because adding some weapons is not what expansion packs are

@GnomeSlice It tends to be pretty noticeably different to me up to about 60fps or so. But also, 30 FPS is when it's not chugging because things are exploding
Say your eyes really do see at 30 Hz precisely and your game runs at 60 Hz and there's no phase difference. What happens then is, the eye captures two frames and kind of mixes them. As a result, you notice it.
@badp the difference between 60fps and 120fps is still visible, just not all that much, and I could believe people who say they can't see the difference - it's more of a feeling than something you see
@badp I've only watched one 120Hz TV and it made me feel really anxious. Like everything looked unsettling. I don't know if it was the 120Hz or this specific show or what.
