My enchantress uses the legendary two-handed sword Maximus, which quite frequently summons a large demon to fight with us.
It's quite a handy proc, but I'd like to know if there's any way I can make it more effective.
My enchantress' damage is quite low now, as I haven't really put much effort...
I've been played this game for 20 hours and I still can't get the difference between day and night. Apart from people occupation, is there any other difference? Some random event that only spawns at specific times, for example?
@fbueckert Did you see the last quarter financial report from NCSoft? It's GW2 > B&S > L1 > Aion > L2 > everything else. CoH/CoV might have been profitable, but it also was a very small fish with a very localised community, so they just cut it out.
And then not even providing a decent reason as to why they're doing it, to the people who have been loyal for years, tells me they don't value their customers at all.
@fbueckert not quite, if there are foreseeable expenses coming up in the future (like having to create more content to keep people playing) then it's not worth it in the long run
@OrigamiRobot Completely different. GW2 is a lot more movement based than GW1 one was, and has a dodge button. Whereas GW1 focused on having a Tank for taking damage, the focus now is on avoiding damage all together. There are skills which exist to make this easier, such as a Guardian skill which prevents all projectiles from entering an area for a short time. Another example would be a MEsmer skill which grants allies increased movement speed, and reduces the movement speed of enemies.
@fbueckert I'm sure F2P games are a lot more work though; you have to constantly add new (pay) content, keep balance, encourage buying. It might not have been worth the effort despite being profitable
@fbueckert It won't change the fact that they expected you to do exactly that - accept the inevitable in silence and dignity. Difference in cultures and all that.
I have been playing civilization for a while and I like that kind of genre where you build stuff and progress. civ4 bts is my favorite.
Can you tell if there are similar strategy games like civ? AOE comes to mind.
Also games that are similar to commandos (another strategy game).
Huh, it's pretty cool that Humble Bundle got a major publisher on board. But a little disappointing that they dropped their anti-DRM, pro-Mac/Linux stance for it.
whole range of things needs to be considered, like personal circumstances, financial circumstances, favourite types of games, the amount of time you'll play it, your favourite type of cupcake, etc
I wasn't sure if Arqade people actually played together, or if they were in separate guilds. I would definitely switch servers to play with Arqade people
@pixel Matrix 2/3 suffered from George Lucas syndrome. They knew they had created something special, but were unable to understand how they had done so, and were completely unable to replicate that effect.
#2 they said "Crazy philosophy was what made Matrix awesome. Let's focus entirely on that." #3 they said "well, crap, that didn't work. Crazy action must have been what made Matrix awesome. Let's focus on that."
@pixel I find the Fifth Element fascinating. It has that rare quality where every individual component of the movie is remarkably cheesy, yet it comes together into a very pleasing whole.
The Matrix trilogy suffered greatly, mostly thanks to Warner Bros. The original idea was to film a trilogy, ending with Neo realizing he is The One. WB said "That won't work as a trilogy. Make it a single movie." So they did. The movie was so successful, WB said "Well, we screwed up! Get us that trilogy!" That's what I've always heard anyway.
Seriously though, @OrigamiRobot The Matrix is a must watch for any sci-fi fan. Regardless of your dislike for the bullet-time stuff, it needs to be watched. By everyone. At least once. Seriously though, skip 2 and 3.
Pretty much just what the title says, does the shiny rate reset? If it does, what are the factors that make it reset? Does my 1 in "X" chance of encounter begin from the start of the game, or every time I power off/on my DS and reload my saved game?

@Fluttershy This might be one of those things that suffers if you didn't see it when it was new. It has been copied so heavily that watching it for the first time now, it would probably feel very flat and derivative.

I always mine in caves but, I always show up empty handed when it comes to diamond. I need a more efficient way to mine while using less resources.
