so the interest worked while I was off work, because I could play in those timezones

@pixel That's the totally wrong way to think about it. Of course you can leave any time. If they are friends, the friendship will remain. I always tell the people who leave the game that this isn't the end; that anytime they want to contact us, they can; that anytime they want to come back, there'll be a place waiting for them, no matter how long it takes, but also that there is no pressure to coming back. They have their lives to live.

Blizzard has made almost all the wrong choices when creating the social structure in WoW. There is very little to fight for (or against) as a guild. The guild skills (or whatever they are called) were a nice idea ("inspired" by other MMOs, obviously), but seem to be either too easy to get or too unimportant.

4 month terms are much more relaxing, in-depth, etc.

2 exams every second month feel much more than 4 exams every fourth month

(I tried both formulas. I get to draw comparisons :P)

Half-long terms means you spend half as many hours in class per course. This means there's a lot left to self study and/or classes feel more rushed.

The pro, less courses in parallel, is... meh in comparison.
