I'm having the same issue. It'll run fine, I'm definitely not overheating, and then the entire computer freezes up and refuses to respond. It's about 5 minutes of play time, and I play multiplayer so the server half is located on a separate machine. I'll add some details to the question — Yamikuronue yesterday

When I play Minecraft 1.4.2 on Ubuntu (with and without Optifine), after a while (about five minutes or so) it will crash the whole of Ubuntu, SSP and SMP (frozen interface, no responsiveness). ...

@RavenDreamer It's hard to judge. When BC was out, I had different interests and priorities: was an officer in a raiding guild and such; but now I solo and pug mostly. I'm having fun with MoP because there's enough choice now to make your own fun, whereas back in BC you pretty much had two paths once you hit 70: attunements then raids or roll an alt.

Q: Can the direction of wall nut bounce be controlled?

In level 1-5 you are tasked to bowl with Wall Nuts, to take out zombies. I see that the wall nuts bounce, but they seem to bounce randomly. It seems like it is important to get multiple hits with each Wall Nut, but I can't figure out how to make it bounce up vs. down. Can it be controlled?

To illustrate: Get some same-looking bags, and put coloured balls in there; each bag gets a different colour of them, and you don't know which one gets what, but all the balls in a bag are the same colour - they are "entangled". Now pick a random bag, and get two balls out of them without looking at them. Carry the balls in opposite directions.

When you look at one of the balls now ("read" its state), you know the other ball is the same colour, no matter how far it is. If you agreed beforehand to do something when it's green, something else when it's blue and yet something else then it's red, and the other one holding the second ball does the same, you "instantly" know what the other one will be doing.

The information got transferred slower then the speed of light, obviously. The "state knowledge" is transferred instantly though, since you know the balls are "entangled".

And so, playing with your balls again leads to better understanding of physics!
