@fredley probably not? not entirely sure what i would need for that. i am a us citizen living in the US. would i need like a visa or work permit? im not opposed to working remotely for a company in the uk though
So update: PowerColor gave me a refund for my overheating 6700XT that had already been in RMA for over a month. I'm probably going to toss in some of my own funds and birthday money and go for a 4080
@SaintWacko Yeah. In Early Access, a lot of party conversations were tied to long resting, which they said they've tried to adjust. But they do still expect you to long rest regularly.
But given that you're playing a Warlock, it does make sense that you long rest infrequently given that you get most of your resources back on short rest.
a) does it relate it any way to the previous games? b) the advertisement "every player gameplay is different" is just marketing because the world is large or there are actual relevant choices and/or random events?
I seriously doubt "every playthru is different" means anything close to even just Ultima 7... but it cost nothing to hope.
They take place in the same universe obviously, but BG3 starts 100 years after the events of BG2.
@SPArcheon There are definitely choices that can change your playthrough dramatically (as early as Act 1!). As for whether they affect the underlying plot is yet to be seen though as I've only just started Act 2 and I'm currently backtracking through stuff I missed in Act 1.
@Yuuki I meant in the "you won't understand a thing if you miss the previous game" sort of way.
@Yuuki Yes, that was kinda my point. I was wondering if it has actual choice or just a illusion of choice played out with a large enough funnel.
To put that in context... in Hogwart Legacy technically you can go dark magic, you can remove the one doing dark magic from the school etc... Does this affect anything in the end? Nope. It is Demon Soul style: bad / good ending is a dialogue choice at the end.
(at least it is forgivable in Demon Soul since it is clear as the sun that the ending choice was going to be tied to the cut archstone... now, had they the actual will to restore the cut content in the remake...)
last thing... Based on the memes I see lingering around... does it has that same stupid feature Dragon Age had? "Hope you enjoy watching cutscenes with everyone covered in blood because you dared to fight before"?
@SPArcheon this question is debatable if moot given that I can't really tell you anything about the overarching plot. For example, in Mass Effect 3, the central plot is to defeat the Reapers but there are multiple side plots that can be resolved in a number of ways. Ultimately, none of them really change that you have three possible ways to resolve the core ME3 storyline but one would argue that either making peace between quarians and geth or destroying one of the races is a relevant choice.
I'd like it if your character got dirtier or scruffier as you went without a rest, but are we really saying they don't splash some water on their face after a fight?
@SPArcheon obviously I can't speak for the final dialogue but certain choices you make in act 1 definitely change things like available party members, interactable NPCs, and Act 1 progress.
@SaintWacko If you are familiar with Oblivion there was a mod called "Realistic Dirt" or something similar that added a little of dirt on your clothes as you went on. There was also a mod called "Unnecessary Violence" that turned the combat into Mortal Kombat basically, with fatalities, blood on clothes etc. Seems to me that in a desperate attempt to be "edgy" enough to reel in your standard Beavis player they went for the second one.
Baldurs Gate 3, in good old Divinity Original Sins manner, provides a world full of various items. Many of those things serve, essentially, for decoration/immersion in the game world but still can be looted and taken with you. Also the chests, barrels, boxes, sacks and fallen enemies you loot wil...
Gibdo Guts are a rare drop from Gibdos (10%) and Moth Gibdos (20%), but they are much less useful than Gibdo Bones, which are much more common. They have a sale value of 2, which is one ruppee less than that of the Gibdo Bone. They have a fuse attack power of one, which is equivalent to that of a...
