Q: How can you read the weapon icon?

Fredy31 Theres a small icon next to the weapon strength, but I have no idea how to read it. The icon itself can be easy, it's the type, like sword, club, cleaver, etc. But the color throws me; how does it read? What does it mean? What's the difference between a blue sword and a brown one?

@Unionhawk I'm pretty sure I know exactly what this is referring to, and I love UI jokes

Q: Starting the Prompt Design Site: A New Home in our Stack Exchange Neighborhood

SpencerGToday, I have some news to share. It's about one of our newest projects coming to the network - the Prompt Design Stack Exchange site: a site for Q&A on writing or engineering effective prompts while utilizing different generative AI (GenAI) tools. What is prompt design? Prompt design or prompt e...

Incredible
@Ronan If you know what this is about, I suggest Stack should join the StableHorde :P
Even apart from the fact that I have no idea what use the site would be other than people asking people to just write prompts for them, it's going to attract just the worst people

> "how can I get stable diffusion to output a cowboy-shot style picture of a character?"
problem is: it depends on the model and the model version.
As I said there, even if you ignore every other issue...
> I often play with stable diffusion and every single model has a sightly different way to write a prompt. Some models may want you to specific thing like "best quality", some don't. Some can be used with words like "closeup" to produce a "portrait" while some will end up with a closeup of a body part instead. Some understand photography terms like "cowboy-shot" while other would try to give your main subject a cowboy hat.
Even if you assume this makes sense, the scope of the site is HUGE
But even if someone answer the question and the asker uses that prompt, if they get images they don't like was the answer wrong?
How doesn't anyone upvote an answer if the validity is entirely subjective?
@Ronan that is also another very valid concern. Generation is not deterministic unless you use the same exact seed
Even if it was deterministic, I test out my answer and think it's good, but the asker wanted something different
even if you had "sitting" in the prompt, it is not sure that the result will always be sitting.
@Ronan also, for testing you have to have the exact same setup. Including client tool, vae, lora set, checkpoint version etc etc etc.
I would NOT download 10gb+ just to be able to answer a question ^_^'
@SPArcheon I didn't even know WHAT a cowboy-shot is. So apparently it's a specific term for a photograph taken of a human being that goes from just below their waist to just above their head, such that both their face and the gun are in frame
something like that
12:07
@Nzall exactly.
I thought it was a picture of someon standing in a cowboy pose, and even then I was only thinking about the classic "shootout in High Street" position, while another common cowboy pose is them leaning against a pillar
I was thinking it was something to do with the "dead or alive" posters
That's a cowboy pose, but then not quite because this is cropped
12:25
I would've thought a cowboy shot would be the one where the camera is behind one person, from the waist down, with another person framed by the legs of the first while they're in a duel.
12:36
@SPArcheon Really feel like someone is not reading the room; we've got a huge problematic about ai, and they go LETS MAKE A WHOLE SITE ABOUT AI
+ it does feel like yeah, everyone that wants to create a new site uses Area51, goes through a long and arduous community acceptance process, most don't make it... oh but some people at SE can simply create one in a day and bypass the whole community
the second part I have no issue with. It is their host space, just ignore the site.
The first part? I get the sentiment but this should be seen as a separate topic for anything but the $$ investment (it subtracts resources)
Alas, it is basically impossible.
Some have tried and it is a mess.
see for example prompthero.com

@Ronan it's re: that an enemy can respond to a flurry rush with a backflip of their own
Oh, not what I thought then
@Batophobia this starts in 6 minutes, right?
14:10
Splatfest for ice cream flavors, doesn't even include chocolate?
They did a whole chocolate splatfest already
Also maybe they figured it would sweep if they included it, so they didn't to keep things balanced?
THE RUMORS WERE TRUE
Geno, maybe?
This is super exciting
I definitely prefer the old character sprites. They had a certain charm to them.

Perhaps this will cheer you up
@Batophobia Thank you
Love coming back to chat after many years and finding not a line of code has been changed.
