Reading about that one now... Apparently their local/regional webshop isn't up yet, so ordering replacements or upgrades isn't possible yet over here

Looks damned interesting though, do they offer touchscreens?

Considering the entire idea behind the Framework Laptop is to have everything replaceable by the end user

it might not be a big stretch for them to add a touchscreen option later on

Because I imagine that's more info then can normally be transfered in the random-data-channels of the protocol

I think generally speaking you can send the touch signals over the eDP connection, but I'm not sure that still works with higher resolution displays that require more bandwidth 🤔

(or rather, I assume it doesn't work :P)

I've not opened up this laptop (Dell l7400 with touchscreen) as it's a work device, but I imagine there'll probably be two separate cables coming out of the screen section, one of which connects as a peripheral device (i.e. the touchscreen)

@Nzall It might also never become available... I really like touchscreens during travel, would like to make sure whichever device I get has that out of the box :)

Actually, USB-C can carry everything so the touch/screen unit probably internally connects as that
