@Dragonrage me too, still very annoying that I then have to empty it out at every checkpoint, especially when I'm transfering and never left the international zone
If your security is so bad you need to check everyone again and again, maybe review your security plans?
But it could be part of security theater of course, intended to make 'bambi' travelers feel safe and discourage the clumsier of terrorists, rather than having an actual, imminent use
