@Nzall it became relevant with ddr4 and it's even more relevant for integrated graphics. Their laptop doesn't have integrated graphics though so it shouldn't make a huge difference in performance though

@SaintWacko thank you for the suggestion! That is not it, the graphics of the game looked significantly better (in my recollection, but that may be bias). More importantly, the planes of the game were flat, no sloped floors. One would always see the hovercraft from the same position, a bit of a helicopter view, and rotating the craft would not rotate the view. The thrusters in the back are a bit the same, even though the ones I refer to were fire-ey/redyellow, ship had a similar look though.
