I have a weird problem. My name in online counter strike 1.6 game is "Fanatic". Sometimes a lot of people confuse it with Pro counter strike team/player which have a similar name called "fnatic".

And then they start abusing me when my performance it not so good. They tell me to change me name.

I mean I'm not the only one playing average/below average in the same match, but still they would target me because of my name.

It can be annoying if you have an attachment to that name, but the easy thing is to just change your name. It should be pretty simple for a Steam game like that.

alternatively, tell them to fuck off and go read a dictionary. That word has existed long before fnatic did
when they compare you to fnatic, just be like "who? never heard of them"

Yeah. That is another reason I don't wanna change my name. Most CS players know fnatic. And if you know even average English, you'd know the meaning of Fanatic.

So I don't think there's anything wrong with my name.
@Wipqozn I also like offline games, but sometimes I get bored and then I join online. Not all online players are bad, but often I encounter them.
