been listening to this (youtube.com/watch?v=43CMV8KIs3E), only up to the 50 minutes mark but it seems like Epic lost mostly everything except for being allowed to tell people there are other ways for in-app purchases
and there's now a new video titled about Epic Appealing which wouldn't be the case if they had won where it mattered
@Memor-X One point of contention: There seems to be a lot of discussion about the definition of a button. Apple may not ban developers from having buttons or external links pointing people to non-Apple payment mechanism, but button being mentioned separately from external link means a button may be something that links to something internal, i.e. an internal payment mechanism.
@Nzall possible but even if Apple is forced to allow apps to have their own payment processors, developers still will need to pay the 30% commission to Apple at some point
apple doing the payment processing was more because it's safer for them to get the money, keep 30% and then send the 70% off at payment as opposed to getting it at set intervals since Apple's only recourse should someone try and stiff them is a lawsuit which also costs money
@Elva nope, they can. Epic argued that any commission was wrong. the judge found that while 30% is inflated, Apple is still entitled to it's commission
is reported as 4.99€. PS Store has the same item going for 5.49€
Again, 0.50€ Sony Tax
@Nzall So, short version, nope, Sony has higher prices because greed.
Before someone tries to defend Sony saying "sony sales quota", Apple has quota too (see: Fortnite scandal) but on Apple store the same monthly sub is Blessings Bundle $4.99
@SPArcheon This is the same for other games I've seen with cross-progression, like Rocket League. I think it's related to platform-specific store policies.
I'm not sure, but I think that the rule is that if a question about a game is specific to how that game works on one platform, then it should have the platform tag. Otherwise, the assumption is that the information is applicable no matter what platform you are on.
@SPArcheon Platform tags would push far beyond the boundary of what the tagging system supports. supported platforms can change over the years and can lead to more tags than allowed
For example: GTA V as an extreme example released on PC, PS3, PS4, PS5, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S.
I am fighting against Earthen Mass enemies who are weak to Wind. However using Alphen's Orochi's Galeforce Fury, which is a wind arte, means I can be hit and knocked out of the arte by enemies. It is a three hit arte which has a total animation time of about 2 seconds.
Is there a way for me to ca...
@Elise it feels like the most "we live in california and only think about california" car feature i've seen in awhile. i suppose it's to vent hot air after your car's been in the sun for hours but takes no account for the possibility of rain
plus, there's no way to tell whether you've accidentally activated the feature either
@Yuuki At least, a good idea would have been that if that feature is activated, the windows stay open for 15 minutes, and if the car is not touched in that 15 minutes, roll it back up
like if I unlock my ionic and don't touch the car for a minute, it will relock itself
assume you just bumped the button
@SaintWacko That fucking sucks. Hope its at least not the hardcore/deadly covid?
@SaintWacko I assume that because he's under 12, he's not going to be that impacted. Most kids aren't going to be that affected by a COVID infection unless they have preexisting conditions
