@MarkTrapp Well, we're on the same side here atleast - I'm undecided on crap answers on SO, bad code can be illustrative. But telling someone 'go ahead past FF 7 disk 1, you can get all items later' is wrong; so why keep that around? Doesn't make sense for arqade imho.

@MarkTrapp The problem with that line of reasoning is the people who are going to take the time to learn the site will do so without those examples clogging up the site, and those that won't take the time to learn are just going to look at the highest up voted answers anyways and not see them.

@Alok It's somewhat beneficial to hedge on deleting answers that appear wrong: people could quickly delete an unintuitive, but ultimately correct, answer for example. And it's hard, unless you have specific domain knowledge about the question, to accurately judge whether the answer is wrong, but there's no way restrict who's allowed to vote to delete something based on their familiarity with the topic

I can barely see it on Stack Overflow, when someone asks a general question like "How do I do a MySQL query in PHP?" and the obvious, but horrendously wrong, answer is to use mysql_query(): capturing the fact that it's so, so wrong by attaching it to a -10 score is attractive. But you could accomplish the same thing by mentioning it in the correct answer. "Use PDO, and for the love of god, don't use mysql_query()"

I know the mushroom color/symptom combination is random for each game, but are there any methods for discovering which mushrooms do what? Example: The game starts with you eating a poison mushroom. Does that mean the mushroom that grows in that spot is always poisonous?
