People can't connect to my server minecraft over internet (just lan).
I installed the server and disabled the firewall. I think the problem is the port 25565 (which I already opened). I have been read a lot but anything works, please help
Some games like Project Diva f/f 2nd require a Memory Card to be inserted in the console for the game to work. Is possible to run this type of games without a Memory Card in the 2nd Generation PS Vita (Slim) or the PS Vita TV? (as both consoles should have 1GB of internal memory)
I am making a one block skyblock that is going very well except the blocks fall off the edge when they shouldn't because a command block should tp the item to the infinity block.
I am trying to help a friend of mine get his Minecraft instance running decently.
He has a workstation laptop with an i7 (3rd gen, not sure which exact model), a Nvidia Quadro K3000M, 16 GB RAM and an SSD.
So hardware-wise it's not a gaming laptop but should be strong enough to work decently.

I implemented a datapack, that changes certain gamerules like mobGriefing or doInsomnia based on the preferences of the players that are currently playing on the server. The datapack works in a test world realiable, but when I put it on the server the gamerule changes have no effect.

I currently have 100,000 G. I’ve been trying to make enough money for the movie theater (500,000 G) But my money amount is going up so incredibly slow. I feel I should be making money quicker because I have 3 pigs, 3 cows, 2 goats, and 1 sheep in my barn. The pigs make iridium quality truffles be...
for my ps4, I have the forsaken DLC, and I wanted to cross save to my pc (which has Forsaken and Shadowkeep). The question is, will I have access to the Shadowkeep missions and content if my main account is my ps4 account which doesn't have Shadowkeep?
When did Arqade became so hostile to good questions? I ask a perfectly good question about the amount of endings and their trigger conditions in chono trigger, and as a result get a hostile comment on it, a downvote, as well as hostility in the answer and the answer got downvoted too... (I already edited the answer to remove the hostility, as well as flagged the comment)
Downvotes by itself are certainly not hostile, I know, I was here when this site was started and have provided a couple of the very first questions and answers. But when you get a downvote and a hostile comment on the question, as well as hostility from an answer, it makes the site very unwelcome. And the answer itself got a downvote too, even when it did answer the basic question.
@alexanderpas The comment states "this question indicates little to no research effort", which is a valid reasoning for downvoting based on the hover-over message.
If the argumentation in that comment was applied strictly, we could remove most of the site. Just because it's answered in a Wiki on the game doesn't mean it's a bad question
I still wouldn't intentionally ask this kind of list question here for old games. But the argument "it's on a wiki so don't ask it here again" ist really dangerous
i've dithered back and forth on whether searchability should matter for questions. the fact of the matter is, seo has made it way easier to find answers for gaming questions. if you could find the answer with a quick google, pretty much the only questions you'd be able to ask on arqade would be minecraft crash reports
The other point is that Arqade is heavily question-limited, not answer-limited like e.g. SO. So there isn't really much benefit to being overly strict with questions that don't have fundamental quality issues
@Batophobia I feel like the "little to no research effort" message is one of those idiosyncrasies that are caused by the incessant fetish of the administrators that every site on the entire network should follow the rules that made the original 3 so successful, even though those rules may not make sense in content
I've tried to make the case on Meta before that not every rule that makes sense for Stack Overflow makes sense for other networks (for example, Worldbuilding really does not work well if you insist that questions need to have 1 objective answer)
but, well
they take the view that if a site doesn't fit the rules set out for Stack Overflow, then maybe that site isn't a good fit for the SE model
And in the case of chrono trigger, little to no research would be asking if the game has multiple endings... since that fact is mentioned in the actual game manual.
Yea, I wouldn't mind there being a meta that clarified Arqade's stance on expected research. Like, I think this is fair to be downvoted, but asking for triggers for various endings could reasonably be acceptable. Especially if you're trying to avoid spoilers and just want to know what might be.
True, but at least we could point to a discussion of what we mean by research. After all, any question that's on-topic should be answerable by playing the game, so everything could be a lack of research
The "I don't pay attention to voices" thing reminded me, I've just replayed Ocarina of Time, intentionally trying to be told about things rather than just going where I remember I need to go next, and I have no idea how I got anywhere in that game as a kid
@MadScientist I agree. SFF.SE actually had "it's on a wiki" as a close reason (general reference), but it eventually got removed since it was a terrible close reason that was applied really arbitrally and inconsistently.
@ToxicFrog You need the bow in the water temple, and in the fire temple for a side path, but it means you can do fire, forest, water; or forest, water, fire
Yeah, I always did forest -> fire -> water, and I don't remember if that's because fire was clued more strongly than water, or if it's just because it matches the order you do the child dungeons in
Also, naturally I went digging, and I agree that comment was too hostile, due largely to "I don't understand why this question even needed to be asked", so I've gone ahead and deleted... just in case anyone else goes snooping and wonders what comment was being discussed.
@ToxicFrog It's designed for it, I thought I got a glitch because you only get the Nocturne of Shadow cutscene after beating the water temple and entering Kakariko from the field. So if you do water then fire and just walk down the hill you don't get it

there's probably folks around now we don't even know who Jin is!
Sometimes we have questions about the story of a game when it's confusing for us to understand one point; and many other reasons.
Can we ask these questions here?
I'm currently level 86 and have almost every move in the game. however, my currently only works against the COM so what would you recommend to run for a PVP build?
Hoi, I recently bought the Linux version of X3: Reunion from GOG, but I can't find a way to start it.
My system:
Fedora 32, 64-bit version
I went via terminal into the X3 Reunion folder and started it by:
./start.sh
Which gave me:
./X3R_config: error while loading shared libraries: libgtk-x11-2....
