I had my 6 month doctor's appointment today and my blood estradiol levels have doubled going from 1mg to 2mg (didn't think it would be such a linear increase). I got 4mg now and I'm thinking about taking 2mg sublabially and 2mg orally 🤔

Unless you're specifically trying to bump estrone there's not much reason to ever take it orally rather than sublingually or bucally, IIRC

It might be less spiky -- I don't remember what the half-life of oral estradiol is like compared to SL, offhand -- but you'll get less E₂ out of it overall so I don't know if the tradeoff is worth it.

my levels are actually within female range on 2mg, so I'm thinking taking 2 orally would increase the base level

my blood tests showed 269.9 pmol/L, which is not as high as most trans women go for, but it's high enough that I could experiment a bit 🤷🏼‍♀️

but some people get okay results with just oral intake, so it can't be all that bad

apparently my testosterone is almost completely gone, but the doctor didn't give me the page for testosterone from the blood test, so I don't know the actual numbers

It's what we've been recommending to newly transitioning friends and they've been getting good results, though HRT stuff really moved forward since I started HRT 3 years ago.

@Nzall Black holes are just more exotic neutron stars, which are probably opaque over a very wide spectrum because they are dense enough in terms of mass that their relatively low electron density per gram doesn't matter because their electron density per m<sup>3</sup> is still higher than lead, at least in the normal matter layer on the surface of the star. At least that's how I interpret this.

I completely glossed over the fact that the singularity of a black hole is so small (at least we think it is) that it doesn't interact with light waves electromagnetically for any light wave with a wavelength longer than a few plank lengths.

@MBraedley I don't think black holes are really that closely related to neutron stars, except that both are among the densest celestial objects. Black holes are often formed from collapsing stars, so they would be composed of mostly the same materials that were in the star.

@badp Huh? I'm saying that Riot's stated goal has been to encourage action during laning phase, that's why they removed Ancient Coin. But that goal runs counter to the fact that a lot of beginning mage items have significant mana regen on them (Lost Chapter, Catalyst, etc.). Mana regen means control mages can spam AoE mob clearing abilities more often.

They did remove the mana regen on minion kill passive from Doran's Ring though.

So there's that.
