I'm feeling quite shocked at how much content Assassin's Creed Origins seems to have
so by now I've already marked off 8 targets on my "to kill" list, but apparently I'm still in act 2 and I'm at a point where Aya told me that I'm about reach a point of no return, which seems really soon
and then there is the achievement list which mentions Rome and Caesar, and I'm wondering whether I haven't even discovered half the world yet
and apparently there are 3 more acts at least based on the achievement list

I'm sorry but you clearly have no intelligence at all if you're not understanding the question. I said I would like a custom status message. Do you understand what that means? Means you have to have the "Display currently running game as a status message" activated and not disabled. Are you a bot because it feels like I'm talking to one. Then again all devs and just people like you in general respond like this so never mind. Just don't respond unless you know the solution and understand what we're both talking about okay? Thanks for the attempt though. — Gyronism 6 mins ago

@NickS Please flag these sorts of things.

I did

user15026
Alright, then give us time to handle things

wasn't trying to push it up just lol'd and wanted to share
sorry @Ash

I flagged it as well, I don't know if 10K flags are treated otherwise

No but iirc comment flags will automatically burn at some votes-flags threshold

its removed
wasn't trying to push it more was just gonna laugh at the dude
imagine having such a bad day that you get that upset at someone on the internet trying to help
i feel bad for the guy :/

user15026
He's not the first, he won't be the last

user15026
sometimes when you're frustrated it's easy to lash out.

@Unionhawk i think its like 4? or they can also be auto validated on first flag if they have certain keywords iirc
for questions/answers i think its 6-7

I've left him a comment reminding him that users on this site are volunteers and that insults and namecalling is uncalled for and can lead to revocation of posting privileges
Or was that not really something I should have done?

@Nzall depends on the wording, though i typically leave such comments to mods

@Dragonrage I got 10K rep, which AFAIK also brings access to moderator tools
or is that a misunderstanding of the 10K moderator tool privilege?

"Access to moderator tools" are not all of the tools diamond mods have (not even close actually)
But I think Dragonrage means more of mods as an authority figure

@Nzall that would be access to this page

i received this comically large pencil as a gift several years ago and my first thought, understandably, was ‘what the christ am i meant to do with this?’

@quartata the name is incredibly misleading, it's really nothing like mod tools, it's just a bunch of filters to view certain posts in the end

@TimStone ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

mods are regarded as exception handlers, so generally it is best to let them comment on it
plus their diamond adds a little more weight and it can help diffuse confrontational scenarios somewhat easier

user15026
It can, but also don't be afraid to call people out (as kindly as possible)

user15026
Like...flags are all well and good, but don't let a thing get out of hand just because we weren't around to see teh flag right away

9:40 PM
@Ash should I have done anything different? (besides not posting it here)

@Dragonrage everyone can comment, that is not a mod-specific thing.

user15026
@NickS I don't think so, you flagged, you tried to de-escalate, I think that was pretty good :)

I find the privileges somewhat confusing. If they're calling it "mod tools", that implies the community trusts you to carry some of the moderator task burdens from the elected mod team.

@MadScientist yeah, true. just dont let yourself get dragged into an argument. flag it, maybe say something like "thats unkind please dont do that", and if they keep escalating, then step away

@Ash thanks- I guess I didn't understand his question cause I thought that his only problem was that the game status was overriding his custom status

9:42 PM
@Dragonrage Which is pretty much what I did: flag it, say something

Ave
@TimStone oh I had one of those
they're not useful for anything

@Nzall yeah, what you did seemed fine.

@Dragonrage if one comment isn't enough, it's probably a good idea to stop commenting at all. But the first comment is something that anyone can do, if it escalates, just leave it to a mod to clean up

Also, judging from the 3 upvotes my comment got (probably at least one from you guys), it was not a wrong action to take
Anyway, I'm going to bed

gn @Nzall!

9:50 PM
@MadScientist I know, it's weird

@Yukki r/unexpected

10:07 PM
@TimStone Best use of an overlarge pencil.

10:20 PM
hmm, someone seems to be trying to access my epic games account
i should probably enable 2 factor auth on that
and change the password

10:58 PM
agh, 5 hours until flight and am still not sure what to take with me

@Ave probably some clothes. also a phone charger

Ave
well those are easy
I'm not sure which laptop(s) I should take
or if I should attempt to take my screwdrivers
because uh, triwings are hard to find and joycons use that...
I'm not sure if I should take my network data drive as I'll have bad internet (which hosts a couple containers on it atm, so I'd need to move those away)

Q: PC to TV via HDMI: Works in Linux but not Windows

Drew BI have a 4K TV that I'd like to play games on. Right now I just have a regular 1.3 HDMI, so I am just setting it up to play 1080p resolution. Using arandr in Linux, I can get the TV to show the PC display with no issues at all. However in Windows the TV just says "No signal, is the computer on?"...
