Like I've gotten HDDs and SSDs shipped to me before via UPS (or similar) and that worked out okay

this will be for my PC Build in a few months. i don't think i can (nor would it be a good idea) to still use my 8 year old one from my current PC and i intent to have a seperate dedicated harddrive for my games (Steam, Emulators, DOSBox, Visual Novels)

@Ash what kind of controller is it?

I've never had good luck with controllers on steam. Though I rarely ever use them.

If it's something like a Logitech F710, those have different modes (directinput and xinput) and most games only support one mode; if your controller has that, check that Norbert hasn't helpfully toggled it for you or something.
