I wanted the cat familiar to have once been a real cat, and I needed a reason for my character to have nothing, despite having been adventuring for years, and that worked out perfectly!

I feel like a normal summoned cat familiar wouldn't have much of a personality

@Avery I was thinking base64, but I'm also not sure I want explicit message IDs in the UI at all; I might just have it interpret something like [re: some text] ... as a reply to the most recent message containing some text as a substring, scoped by user if there's an explicit user: prefix.

Which also works nicely with my existing reflexes.
