also given how little trump seems to care for the integrity of government institutions and the traditions of his office, the provided rationale doesn't add up
@murgatroid99 The "he shouldn't have closed the investigation into Clinton's emails" bit is just pure fodder for his base though. If they actually had concerns about that they could have dismissed Comey back when Trump decided to keep him, and this is just a basis for them doing so
@TimStone didn't that information about his false testimony just come out recently? it's possible they have been crafting those letters for a long time now
@GodEmperorDune No, absolutely. They want to get rid of him for other reasons, I wouldn't immediately assume what those are but I'm sure there's another underlying issue
We could say it's the whole Russia investigation thing but as it comes on Sessions' recommendation it might be that the FBI isn't being as aggressive as the AG wants them to be too, for example

It's kinda complicated: You need to create a vault and then upload stuff to it and then put it to cold storage (if you don't do it by hand, it does it in 7 days or so), then you can pay a tiiny fee to get it back up again. But in the end, I can store tons of copies of my /home backups for less than a dollar a month (but well, my /home folder is small). That might be too much hassle for some, and that's where backblaze proves to be great.
