@KevinvanderVelden Well we are talking about messages here. The only problem (at least with how this code is implemented) is that you aren't guaranteed to have a complete message when you read the serial port.

@MBraedley that's what I meant basically. In websocket you get a message, complete and correct. With serial data you get a stream of data that may or may not constitute a whole number of messages

So you have to have some kind of length indication and make sure your memory is large enough and clear the incoming buffer so that doesn't run out either

Some people who bought the Civ 6 deluxe editions are also pissed at what they're getting for the (included in deluxe edition) season pass

and I don't even know if they explain it in any DLCs or expansions

I never have and never will intentionally buy a season pass.

@BlueBarren If you're comfortable throwing money at something you have absolutely no guarantee is good, you're free to do so. But, yes, that is the main reason season passes (and pre-orders in general) are bad. You're sending a message that hype is more important than quality.

To be honest, I do the same thing with Monster Hunter; I love those games. But they don't have season passes, and I will avoid those like the plague.

Well you already touched on the point with your mention of preorders but that's what I'm already doing with the Switch and Zelda

@Frank I think the publisher/developer is the most important part when deciding about preordering. I mean I certainly won't preoder a Ubisoft/EA game but something like CD Project red... I might consider it.

Mostly do they live up to the promises made, do they give enough time for reviews (I generally preorder a few days in advance if I do) and are their releases not generally bugged

But mostly, the question that needs to be asked is, "Do you trust this publisher to provide a quality experience?"

EA and Ubisoft have pretty shit reputations as far as customer support and fan relations go though. There was a recent thing where a Ubisoft database error resulted in all of some dude's Rainbow 6 Siege DLC stuff being wiped.

Everytime I play with/against a Kalista, I can hear her voice even though she is in the fog of war. Example: I play Darius top lane, enemy Kalista is bot lane, and around minute 1, I can hear Kalista saying something. Is that a kind of bug ? Is it possible to disable it ?
