@badp I noticed that when I was browsing the shops. lol I managed to get 3-star stuff tonight and was working on unlocking Tier 2 access when all of my mist disappeared.
After a couple of matches, I've noticed I had 78 mana in my bank. I haven't sold any items or banked any using the forge. Are there other ways to earn Mana?
When I was trying to write the tag excerpts for audio, I realized that I basically had to add a line that states: questions that do not pertain to music in the entry since we have both tags. Then I thought to myself, why should we differentiate between the two?
Audio is a broader term that incl...
@RonanForman Yeah. But, everything I've found using Google-fu says that it was delayed for a month on December 20th, so the vote should be within the next couple of days, unless something new has happened.
Hmm... Well, according to a blog I just read, it was shelved indefinitely until a consensus coould be reached, so, maybe they aren't voting on it this week.
On the minimap, enemies are marked with a X and their HP bars are red.
(In opposite of my teams circles and green bars)
Because I started the game playing Radiant only, I'm now getting confused when I'm on Dires site with the said minimap markers and colors.
Is it possible to configure the gam...

I want to make a feature-request that anytime someone leaves chat, there are trailing "aaaaaaaaaahhhhhhh"s and/or "nooooooooo"s coming out of their gravatar

Sometimes, when I jump off a tall rock or exit a cave while sneaking, when I exit or land, I will still be sneaking but the crosshairs will appear to be not the shut eye, but the normal crosshairs. Is there a way to fix this? It does not allow you to stand up, or run while like this. I have to re...
I don't think this question is unsalvageable (and indeed, has received a phenomenal answer despite that), but the underlying premise of the question as it currently stands is a poor one.
Is there an in-universe explanation why nuclear bombs are so weak in StarCraft? With the scale of the expl...
The winds of change, they are a'blowin. This week's meta-murder question is:
Have we not been clear enough that meta-tags are a Bad Thingâ„¢?
In his answer, Grace specifically calls out previous tag-burning parties I've held here on meta. In further discussing this with her, he said the follo...
@RavenDreamer It's a respectable viewpoint, but I'm still having trouble wrapping my mind around deciding whether that question is ok or not. This question strikes me as ok, yet I'm sure I wouldn't tolerate much more "WHY?" than that.... I'm so confused. :/
I went through about the first 10 pages (in popularity order, 350 tags or so) of about 50 pages (~1900 tags) total, and came away with probably 60 or 70 'bad' tags by that definition. i figured probably a review of my criteria was more appropriate than a not-very-comprehensive list of things it matches.
@John I responded with the "a wizard did it" trope because it seemed appropriate. The asker got quiet after that, so perhaps [s]he took it in the humorous and disarming manner it was intended.
@John yes. I always try to answer the question as best I can, and then try to avoid any further discussion of the "questionable" parts. I don't know if that's the correct way to handle borderline questions, but so far it's my current way.
@John oh, it's sort of a well-worn meme here, even the "official" notice of Grace's hiring at StackExchange did it. I honestly don't know what pronoun @Grace prefers, tbh. I don't believe it bothers him/her.
@agent86 Yes, I'm well aware of how old it is. (I've been here longer than you, remember? :P Since before Grace was hired, even) And also aware of the fact that the last time it came up, Grace was most displeased.
And most people use the female because Grace has made herself appear very feminine. Always a witch, never a warlock, all her gravatars are girls, the name is a girl's name...
My main beef was more "That's what people consider the identifying characteristic of me", moreso than just doing it in general, as it were. So you needn't scold or warn people about alternating pronouns, nor worry about me reacting. That isn't entirely much the issue and you shouldn't think on it.
yeah, by keeping it ambiguous to distract attention from it, you've ironically (actually using that correctly in this case!!) drawn attention to the ambiguity.
but I think of it more as an in-joke than anything else. In my brain you're a girl.
@RavenDreamer I know, but I'm debating if I want to... "John The Green Guy" is what I've started calling myself in other places now... but "John The Green" might sound better...
@John Not really. Just consider: Grace Note likes keeping people bewildered. Answering one of his many mysteries would do nothing but decrease the bewilderment.
@RavenDreamer While this may technically be saying too much, this isn't actually in my interests. While I'm good at deceit, this isn't a very fair utility.
@GraceNote No, see, I can't make tales of what you mean. I can't spin wild stories, blowing them way out of proportion due to my lack of understanding.
@FallenAngelEyes hey, I saw an article/video recently that in Delft someone built the world's largest NES controller... did you get in on any of that sweet oversized SMB action?
For the ones likely to be closed, I think the tags should stay since we still need some tags for them, and I think there's one on-topic question for it that asks how to find more? Also, if a user actually thinks to use the tag and happens to read the description, then they might learn it's off to...
@John sigh I just wish we hadn't brought this question up any further. It was dead, and buried, and now it's getting commented on and discussed and shifted and moved and etc.
The answerer appears to be making up mechanics that don't exist for the sole purpose of making people say "Wait, I didn't know you could do that. Could you tell me more?"
@John the issues with that are the ones brought up by Raven; it's not entirely plot-based (the gameplay provides context for the entirety of the question). If it was solely plot-based (context was provided by a SC novel or some such) I'd feel more like it belongs on scifi, but as it stands, I think it's appropriate here.
I should say; I don't think it's appropriate period, but I think it's more appropriate here
@IanPugsley The link to the game is tenuous at best. He might as well be asking what the expanation is for why a barracks is only big enough to hold a couple marines, because clearly that's what it shows on the screen.
@bwarner right, which is why I don't think it's appropriate period - the context provided is making assumptions that are unreasonable (based on the scale of the units/effects in game)
@NickT I hate, hate hate, hate hate hate hate hate the way mobile carriers price things. stupid oligopoly. (I assume that's what your referencing, although I feel similarly about ISPs)
From what I read, most people are in the 300 MB - 2 GB bin currently ($25), so in order to keep the reasonable plan that's north of 300 MB it'll be $5/mo price hike
their whole philosophy seems to be "communication is essential, and we own the infrastructure (ha, ha, we bought most of the rights to build it from you for a song!) so you will pay what we tell you to pay."
I really think it's a terrible, terrible idea to let a few really large corporations control the flow of data to almost everyone in the country
things like SOPA, I mean, okay, that could make some things temporarily inconvenient to access, and it's terrible for any number of reasons. but when AT&T is slowly turning the cost up and downgrading the service on all communication, everywhere, and making deals to prioritize what information is accessible? that, to me, is more threatening than any law anyone could pass.
@IanPugsley Well, it works well enough, and I don't have anything simpler really. I've heard of a couple, but I have no experience with anything that isn't an Adobe beast.
@agent86 This is a problem with the internet as a whole.
