I thought it would be cool to play FNAF World due to lots of popular YouTubers playing it. When watching them, I didn't see any jump scares, but they could've just edited them out or skipped them. Are there any jump scares?
I wanted to travel across river, I had minecart track going across to my base over the river, so I decided to use them. however while riding the horse over that bridge horse accidentally got loaded in the minecart, now I can't destroy the minecart because when I attack minecart horse gets hurt.

It doesn't but that's not my point. I'm saying that comparing it to Dark Souls in this way is silly because this is absolutely something that was done before
And my point is that they are similar in that the plot material isn't directly encountered through gameplay. In Dark Souls, you have to look at item descriptions. In Overwatch, you have to go online and look through character summaries and backgrounds. Yes, Dark Souls lore is far more ambiguous than Overwatch, but the point is that a similarity is being drawn, not an exact 1-to-1 match.
Just as you cannot learn much about Dark Souls just by playing through the game in a minimalistic fashion, you can't learn much about Overwatch's lore through playing the game as is.
@Yuuki Again, I don't think that's comparable at all. Dark Souls lore is basically "go read a wiki". Overwatch lore is readily presented by the developers. You can argue it's not in game, but they heavily advertise the lore stuff on the game's very launcher.
No, I'm just really tired of people saying "this is like dark souls" when it shares only the loosest possible connection
By the same logic Halo 5 is "like dark souls" because it didn't tell you everything in-game. Or the multiplayer mode is, because they're just disconnected maps
They're fundamentally different types of games and I don't think the method of storytelling is remotely similar. This isn't even something Dark Souls invented, either.
Well, up until Dark Souls 3, I would've had to disagree with the multiplayer mode comparison since 1 and 2 took place in a single roughly contiguous map (with elevators and such as loading zones).
With the exceptions of the Giants' Memories, they were all kinda connected. Yeah, the Earthen Peak -> Iron Keep transition was really dumb, but you still took a physics-breaking elevator rather than stared at a loading screen.
Although I guess the transition to the Bastille was also technically a disconnection.
Our empire just conquered, for the first time, an enemy planet and have an army and a general controlling it.
Our commanders are debating whether to leave an army or not.
What's the minimal army that we should leave so that the population won't resist and we'll lose it to rebels?
Should we lea...
So, I now have the choice to kill Trevor or Michael or do the Deathwish. But the thing I wanna know is, do I still get the money from the 'Big Score' Heist if I choose Deathwish?
When a hero gets commended with a specific amount of points, both at 5 votes and at 10 votes they get a special voice line.
For example, when Mercy gets commended at five votes she will sometimes say "It's nice to be appreciated."
However, I've never heard her 10 vote line because rarely does...
In the game HuniePop, how do you unlock the final games where you 'make it' with the girls? Is there something specific I'm missing when trying to get to these sections? I keep giving them presents and playing that weird version of Bejeweled Blitz cum Candy Crush they always want you to play, but...
@AshleyNunn I've been tempted to get a smart lock for the house, but I want something that talks over wifi and not bluetooth. Good thing I didn't settle for something like this.
asp.net (mvvc) is confusing (developing a webapp to stop bots from getting steam/origin/whatevs codes, rate limit per ip, account etc, with limitations customizable by user like "5+ level" or "member of x group" or "max. 1 code in 3 hours")
I have Linux (Lubuntu 16.04) and I play M&B Warband on Steam. I'd like to try the Anno Domini mod, but I'm not sure how to add it to my game and if it's even possible with Steam distro and Linux.
So, is it possible? And if it is, then how should I do it (I've never used any mods before)?
I gues...
I chased moltres around about 7 times, but when I saved and logged back on, he is gone - from the map, and the sea spirit's den. I redid the elite four, with hopes it would reset, but that did not seem to work. How can I fix this? Thanks.
Yes. Steve Rogers is a Jewish super hero created by Jewish writers as a big screw you to the Nazi movement. He is literally everything anti-Nazi. That's what he was created for
@Ktash Just because he was created by Jewish writers does not make him a "Jewish superhero". I don't see anyone claiming Superman is a Jewish superhero.
As far as I know, he's been depicted either a-religious or with a slight Protestant bent.
His background has been retconned a bit a few times. His most recent one is probably Irish immigrants. His original one is Jewish kid from Brooklyn, if I recall correctly
In fact, being Jewish would actually detract from his character. It re-frames his eagerness to join the Army as a story of vengeance. Even if not explicit, it would be implied.
In any case, I'm almost entirely certain this is being taken the wrong way and the story arc will eventually justify it. But then again, Hitler Tony Stark happened.
@Yuuki Going back before the hubub, it looks like you are correct, he is Irish Protestant. He has had several side-kicks/storylines with & around Jewish characters (mostly due to the Nazi thing, but several non-Nazi things as well), but still remains a non-Jewish character. His creators are, however, Jewish.
Seems like the story I read incorrectly assumed he was as well, though I'm not sure it's that much better
