I love that @Raven basically already has enough upvotes for the first gold tag badge on the site, but won't get it until he answers another hundred skyrim questions.
On Belsavis, I found a "Mission Support Vendor" who sells level 50 modifications (and speeders) for Daily Commendations.
What are they? How can I get them? Are they only for level 50 characters?
I need to make a piston door that opens when a plate is stepped on, it is normally the other way around. Does anyone know how? A video would be helpful but not required.
@alexanderpas What I mean is, say someone wants to make a piston elevator instead of the old fashioned water+boat elevator, they need an insane amount of redstone circuitry for it. So much, in fact, that it isn't even space-saving.
A paternoster or paternoster lift is a passenger elevator which consists of a chain of open compartments (each usually designed for two persons) that move slowly in a up and down inside a building without stopping. Passengers can step on or off at any floor they like. The same technique is also used for filing cabinets to store great amounts of (paper) documents or for small spare parts. As a result of safety issues, many such lifts have been shut down, however a small few survive around the world, the largest of these located in the Arts Tower at the University of Sheffield, which also...
Yes that story is as horrific as it sounds and I know several people around here that refuse to ride elevators in NYC ATM, after that incident and this one a week later.
@alexanderpas so, you're ~1800x more likely to die in a car than an elevator you're saying?
@Tristan You also don't live in a town where that was the first story to manage to take away news coverage from the other elevator story. We had a good week of non stop, wall to wall ELEVATOR DEATH SCARE in our news.
In Saints Row the Third if player one uses a city takeover to secure a district will player two also get all activities in the district marked as complete? I have 2 hard Insurance Fraud activities left and am hoping I can join someone's game when they go to use a takeover perk to get those done. ...
@Tristan I know, I don't believe that quality of answer and number of upvotes are related, really :) the more popular a question is, the more votes its answers get, generally
If you look at the screen, you will notice it'll give you a hint on how to perform the barrel roll in the text blurb.
You can perform a barrel roll by pressing Z or R twice
Here is a video showing the blurb and a successful barrel roll.

@Tristan like I think my #2 most upvoted answer is a TF2 demoman sticky jump answer I banged out in a couple of minutes, and I've probably got some at 2 or 3 upvotes where I felt like I went above and beyond.
I've built several particle disturbance sensors and given them to my squad at the start of a mission. The only details I can find about how to use them are along the lines of "Click on the Disturbance Sensor icon on the tactical display. Select 'Use Sensor' from the menu." I can't see this icon...
@alexanderpas people don't like my answer on meta that mentioned that upvotes != quality after a dozen or so (though there are other controversial things in it as well)
@Tristan Because boats don't rise in water unless it's completely source blocks. Also, boats have become too glitchy. They just glitch through the walls and get stuck a lot.
I installed a few games from the recent HIB # 4 and removed it today thing games for which i choose to use the deb successgully uninstalled

Alright, another question. Am I the luckiest Binding of Isaac player ever because I found Krampus in a Deal with the Devil room on my 2nd playthrough of the game? =\
In mathematics, four-dimensional space ("4D") is an abstract concept derived by generalizing the rules of three-dimensional space. It has been studied by mathematicians and philosophers for almost three hundred years, both for its own interest and for the insights it offered into mathematics and related fields.
Algebraically it is generated by applying the rules of vectors and coordinate geometry to a space with four dimensions. In particular a vector with four elements (a 4-tuple) can be used to represent a position in four-dimensional space. The space is a Euclidean space, so has a m...
Should the AC: Revelations tag be ac-revelations instead of the current assassins-creed-revel? Google doesn't (predictably) pick up on "revel" = "revelations", but easily seems to equate "ac" with "assassins creed". The only questions that seem to turn up when Googling are those that actually u...
@RavenDreamer Possibly. Depends on how much impact HOTS has on the multiplayer scene. If it's minimal and it's mainly campaign questions, they'll die out as fast as they come I suspect.
@NickT Maybe I'm just not fully comprehending what you're asking. Googling assassins creed revel vs ac revelations, I come up with pretty much the same results. ac:r pulls up a bunch of non-assassins creed related results.
@NickT Oh, I get what you're saying now. Modify the tag so it gets picked up by more specific searches, and not people searching for "revel" specifically.
@Tristan yes, if you google "assassins creed revel" which is exactly our tag, you will get our stuff, but my point is who is going to abbreviate "revel" as such
google generally knows "ac" = "assassins creed" (and probably always when coupled with "revelations", "brotherhood", etc), but not that "revel" = "revelations"
How can I make many points in no time to spend them for extras?
Is there a special kind of gameplay that brings much points? I have played the hole story in the easiest mode so far, just finished 5 Mins ago, now I need many points to buy all the nice stuff...
Having just arrived at Hoth, with my Imperial Agent, I checked in with the ranking officer of the Salvage operations on site at the base. He informed me that his superior is out in the field and can't be reached on standard communications channels, but that if I'd like to be a suicidal maniac and...
In dead Island the items you pick up in the game like flares that are green coloured in your item menu, are they just high end items to sell or are they used for anything special?
I've been playing Skyrim since it was released, and I've had a problem where certain graphical features are invisible to me. As far as I can tell, its a certain type of shader or particle effect that must be faulty, as its not whole entities that are hidden.
Example missing effects:
The sky-wa...
Some of the tags we are forced to use on Gaming.SE are fairly awkward or acronymirific because of the plague of sequelitis rampant in the industry. As a result, it seems like our SEO can be pretty terrible at times even if the tag we pick looks the best to us in our own little vacuum.

So my girlfriend has some old video game nostalgia and she wanted to show me some screenshots or video [ or play it if possible ] about this game she used to play around 20 years ago. She swears it was called "Mini Milk" but we haven't found anything on THE WIRED about such game.
I trust her me...
I was watching the Homestory Cup IV yesterday, and I caught some of the "reseeding" between the Ro32 (8 groups of 4) and Ro16 (4 of 4) group stages and didn't really know what was going on. Players seemed to be suggesting different group matchups, but I don't know if they were just throwing out ...
The original Rainbow Six had players start out in a planning mode where they set waypoints and planned out the entire operation before they executed it. In my opinion, that's what set it apart from other games. I've been trying to determine which (if any) of the newer versions have that same fu...
Most player-created potions grant a finite amount of resource restoration. At higher levels, is there some way to create a "Potion of Ultimate x", such as those that can occasionally be found in the wild or bought, which will restore the user's resource completely?
I have an amd e-350 1.6ghz processor in my desktop and to play Heros of Newerth I need to overclock my processor by .2 ghz. I know that you over clock through your BIOS, but mine will not allow me. Is their a way around this? Thank you for reading.
I'm not sure when did this happen, but all of sudden I cannot use the console command moveto.
I realized this when I'm trying to summon a dragon with player.moveto EAFB4, it's just not appearing. The same happens when I'm trying to move myself to Lydia using prid A2C94 then player moveto.

So, I'm starting to feel like I made the trip to Skuldafn woefully unprepared. I've managed to take down a fair number of the mobs that awaited me here, but I'm out of health pots and pushing the limits of my carry cap. Is there any way I can go home to sell my loot and re-stock, without having...
I am currently saving my perk points until I meet the skill requirements for the perk I want. Let's say I am at level 16 and have enough XP to get to level 20. Are the enemies scaled as though I am at level 20?
In RollerCoaster Tycoon Deluxe, when I'm building a roller coaster, sometimes I screw up somewhere in the middle and have to bulldoze to fix it.

As far as I know, the only way you can change ability sets when playing online is to die at the hands of another player or get stunned in a "team" game. Unfortunately it's just not possible to commit suicide without getting assistance from your pursuer and it's inconvenient giving free points to...
All i remember was a piano boss, his mouth was that top flap thing pianos have, (cant remember what they are called) and there was this conveyor belt, with boxes that you had to jump over. I dont remember anything after that, because as a kid, i died on that boss, a lot.
Also, i think there was...
I remember playing it during the 90's but it was most likely developed in the 80's and run under DOS.
The goal of the game was to cross a map consisting of colored squares, I remember they kept changing colors and I think there were black squares which meant instant death. I'm not sure what were...
I noticed in the accepted answer to this question that there are some things you can't do with a sideways wii remote in Brawl. We are brawl newbies, so I wanted to ask what other things are either trickier or impossible to do in Brawl with just a sideways wii remote and does getting a Nunchuk to ...
I'm about 60 hours in now, and have been using the same companion for the majority of the time.
I really would like to keep using this companion, but lately she's been getting... glitchy.
It started out that it wouldn't let me unequip her "default armors" -- the two or three that she started w...
I had been playing through this quest and accused the court wizard of the murders in Windhelm. I went to see him in prison and he told me to look for the real killer at night. I ran frantically around the city but couldn't catch up to the arrow indicator on the map. I did find a dead body though ...

We got Skylanders for the kid for Christmas.
Consequently, I've been playing a fair amount of Skylanders.
It's got good points and bad points, but it is fun to play, so I guess overall we'll have to call it a win.
Via Chapter Select I can go back to previous areas that have already been played...
@NickT I misunderstood the question. I thought he was asking about the tracks inside the reactor, and not the pipes in the reactor view. I answered that right before I went to bed too, so I didn't catch my mistake until this morning.
We have a lovely 32-player server generously provided to our community, but I don't think I've ever seen enough players to even start a game!
We currently have a very lovely ad airing on our network:
But is there anything else we can do to promote it?
I have over 120 Hours in Skyrim on PC. I've completed the civil war (stormcloak) and the main quest. I'm now trying to complete the Dark Brotherhood, but anytime I go anywhere near Soltidue to do "Bound Until Death", by walking from a nearby location or fast-travel, the game crashes with a "Skyri...
I really should just ignore spacechem, I've got like 20 or 30 hours logged in that game but I tend to just f-up every question that comes along about it!
All of the maps I can find of all of Constantinople seem to be focused on finding the Animus fragments, and not the Templar Dens, unfortunately.
The templar dens are pretty easy to locate, however. Each one is marked on your map from the start of the game, I believe. The icon looks a little o...
I seriously think of galaga or something similar whenever I see that den icon. I want it to start moving back and forth at the bottom of the screen and pew pew pewing the animus fragments on the map or something.
