@twobugs they can learn to read without having to read certain books, you can easily find a book that they will like as opposed to making them read a book they dont like.
@twobugs maybe things have changed since i was in school, but having a break or weekend just meant we were going to get hw to do over it to make up for not being in school
Lunch, study period, during boring classes where you didn't actually need to pay attention to pass, and on the bus were when I did about 80% of my homework.
I had a similar experience to @Sterno in high school. Most of my homework was done in school. My busiest time was probably junior and senior years of college, but I still had plenty of free time.

Again, if the argument is just "you spend too much time in school", I don't know what to say. You're going to have to quantify why that is "too much" and why less would be better

Why less would be better? Because most of our class can't think about education after 5 hours (less than half of school), and they start chatting, distrupting others.
@Dragonrage I'm not saying our school systems are perfect, but I haven't seen either of you identify what I would consider to be substantive issue
Having to read a book so you can discuss it with your class and work on your ability to formulate thoughts and communicate them with your peers is not an issue

@twobugs In America, too much weight is placed on standardized testing, and some classes become focused on teaching students to pass tests, to the detriment of useful learning
"Wait, how have I not been to this class before? We're like halfway through the semester! I didn't do last night's homework. Wait a second... why am I living on campus? Am I commuting to my job? Where are my kids? Why have none of these discrepancies made me wake up yet?"
@Wipqozn True, but if the system was never designed with a specific level of security I can completely see not even considering that interaction. And if you try to bolt that on later? It'll probably be halfassed
Possibly, but I usually have some dream where my teeth are either shattering inside my mouth and I have to hold them in or they're just slowly becoming loose and falling out
@twobugs Yes, the later part is a pain. but putting in basic password encryption at the start is so easy and quick there's no reason to skip it aside from laziness.

@GodEmperorDune if you are showing people what meets accessibility requirements, it seems like they should meet or exceed all requirements themselves i guess
