@Unionhawk srsly

maybe it has Alzheimer's

What happened between 67-69 years ago :/
Was the devil going around making deals for the next 70+-3 years?
:/

@djsmiley2k post ww1 peace conferences?

o_O

user15026
@Dragonrage Not ww1, that's like 100 years ago

11:06 PM
I like that you can wreck stuff by dodgerolling like in dark souls

@AshleyNunn the Internet lied to me. i said 67 years ago today and the top hit was ww1

@Dragonrage lol

with a little more digging, i found a better one though. 68 years ago on jan 30, Gandhi was assasinated

coincidence? i think not
It must be the aliens.
They have returned

user15026
11:13 PM
Image not found, and 400 Bad Request on click. Might wanna try that one again :)

worskh ere

user15026
Broken for me, weird.

I can see it.

imgflip.com load for you at all?

@AshleyNunn for the image i posted? it works for me. i edited to fix it

user15026
11:15 PM
Still broken for me, even after refresh. Strange.

user15026
@djsmiley2k I can't get it to, no, which is weird because I am on my home machine, so there's nothing that I can think of that would prevent it

routing error in the interwebs!
hmmmm psn just died :/

user15026
Alright, who tangled the intertubes?

sorry, i unplugged my severs, the electricity was getting expensive
goodness this book is hard to find :(

Smite seems like a useful skill cc @Chippies @StrixVaria

11:19 PM
@AshleyNunn does this book sound familiar to you? scifi.stackexchange.com/questions/114536/…

user15026
Not a clue, but it's likely in a genre I don't really read.

@Dragonrage Nexus?

Maybe a little more high-tech.

user15026
Anything "Tom Clancy" ish isn't my thing, really

11:21 PM
@Frank no, i looked at that one, wasnt it

user15026
Although I did read Amped, it was pretty decent. But it's unusual I read stuff in that genre.

i think i thought of Tom Clancy because the cover looked like some of his books

@Dragonrage It gets pretty darn close to hitting all those points.

i havent read it in years, i can remember all the major plot elements, but not any of the names
@Frank let me see if i can find a better summary of it then. the excerpts i have found dont sound famaliar

Poutine burritos exist, but do you know what would be better? Poutine donairs! (Although if I'm being honest, you can't use "donair" when describing a food mash-up and there's no donair sauce. I would not want to mix donair sauce with gravy.)

11:28 PM
poutine burrito
what

Or is it a Burrito Poutine!?!?
WHAT NOW GUYS

@Frank no, its not it. Nexus has mind to mind communication, this book doesn't. The implant/chip was surgically implanted in the person, and i believe it integrated with the optic nerve. that way it would project things onto their vision and they could use this to like browse the web, or use it as a gps and stuff. some guy died because the inventor caused the device to overwrite all input from the eye, so the guy drove off the road because it changed in his vision where the road was

aLSO TO BE PERFECTLY CAPS LOCK

@Wipqozn No, that's a poutine burrito

Also be perfectly honest a Poutine burrito sounds gross

11:28 PM
A burrito poutine would be

@MBraedley What? Seriously, what?

I don't know

That...would be messy as all hell.

A burrito with gravy on it?

I'm hungry now

11:29 PM
@Wipqozn Burrito poutine would be awful. Fried beans and rice with cheese curds, fries, and gravy? No thanks.

That could be a Thing
actually

@MBraedley TBH I think it's just poutine in a tortilla
To turn it into a handfood

No that's a poutine burrito

It better be a thick tortilla though, what with the gravy
Oh

A burrito poutine would be something different I think

11:30 PM
I see

@TimStone That's what a poutine burrito is, but burrito poutine is just wrong.

Right, right
I was confused by the hunger
My bad everyone

behold

user15026
@Unionhawk I dunno, I've had like...shawarma poutine and stuff and it works out

@Unionhawk Is that a Burrito made up of smaller burittos?

11:32 PM
Is that a taquito burrito?

user15026
Pretty sure Smoke's does some sort of burrito-ish poutine.

@TimStone Yes.
Yes it is.

But why?

Mexican Poutine is a thing

user15026
@Unionhawk Whats in the second from the left?

11:33 PM

What's that one on the left? Mac-n-cheese and other stuffs?

so looks like I'm finally at the end of dragon age origins
(or 2?)

@Frank It looks like bacon, mac & cheese, and what I really hope is not imitation crab meat

@Unionhawk How is that a thing?
...I shouldn't ask, because I don't think I want to know.

11:34 PM
1 min ago, by Unionhawk
user image

@Unionhawk You win this one.

@Unionhawk laaame. i posted a picture of a macaroni burrito a long time ago

@Unionhawk What in the delicious hell

@Unionhawk This is the way the world ends. Not with a bang, but smothered in delicious gravy

and no one believed me when i said i had an enchilada burrito, how is it any harder to believe than a taquito burrito?

11:36 PM
> BUFFALO CHICKEN & WAFFLE BURRITO
I don't think I want to live anymore.

More like, what a time to be alive

user15026
@Unionhawk mmmm lobster mac

Oh lord D:
mage dude just got major

user15026
@Unionhawk Agreed.

11:37 PM
@Dragonrage OK Papyrus

also a spaghetti burrito
which is quite good if i might add

scrolls down on the Nerdist thing HOLD THE PHONE
STOP EVERYTHING

@Unionhawk Ew. Ewewew.
I tried Pizza Hut's poutine pizza.
Never. Again.

Your first mistake was "Pizza Hut"

user15026
@Unionhawk Want.

11:39 PM
@Unionhawk To be fair Pizza Hut is a great decision if you're at war with your insides

@Unionhawk Oh, sorry, left that fine detail out.

@Sterno You'd think it'd be easier to control that sort of thing.
Here in Canada, to file electronically, you need a four digit access code to attach to your filing.

It's the same in the United States.
Checkmate, Canadians.

A pizzaburrito
i rest my case

@Dragonrage Not a burrito.

11:41 PM
@Unionhawk So...how do they manage to file under someone else's account, then?
I'm curious.

That is clearly a calzone that was improperly made.

@Frank Apparently they're managing to get this code somehow?
I'm not sure

@Unionhawk It'd be an interesting exercise to find out, I think.

@MBraedley Pizzaburritos are a thing. Stop trying to deny it

That might be the root cause.

11:42 PM
@Unionhawk Yeah, because you only need trivially discovered information to get it
Unless you've signed up prior to the criminal

also since anything can be a pizza topping, and a pizza can go in a burrito, anything can go in a burrito.

So the key to avoiding it is sign up for your e-file now, and then file later?

@Dragonrage I'm not denying that, but what you posted isn't such a thing. Burritos are made with tortillas.

@TimStone Sounds like some beefing up of security is needed.

burrito pizza

11:43 PM
We get our four digit pins in the mail.

@MBraedley it was the closest thing i could find in a 3 second search. ive seen better pictures before. also have eaten them, though

the defense rests

@Unionhawk Generally, yeah. First day to file isn't until tomorrow though, because today is a holiday

just dropped a chandelier on my follower

ONLY IN AMERICA

11:44 PM
don't think he noticed

whispering What's that?

@Unionhawk now you just need to make a burrito out of that, and you can have a burrito burrito pizza

I'm getting word that these idiots are Canadian.

My solution is to always owe money, so no one wants to access my tax return anyway.

or would it be a burrito pizza burrito

11:45 PM
*Note, not actually a solution

@Unionhawk If the IRS is that bad that they're granting refunds to Canadians...yay more money for us?

@Frank No I'm talking about the burrito pizza, above

@Unionhawk Oh. WELL NEVER MIND THEN!

@Frank Unfortunately that's probably likely, since the US does that whole taxation of expats thing
So having return money sent to Canada wouldn't necessarily be weird

@TimStone I've never understood how a foreign government can tax me when I don't, and haven't, lived there at all for the year.

11:47 PM
Or even if you moved to canada in the middle of the fiscal year

Is there a maintenance fee for being an American?
4
I'm seriously asking, because you guys legit have a death tax.

Pretty much. Think of all the places that shiny passport gets you into!

Burrito pizza?
Now that's what I call a taco.

@GraceNote what about pizza burritos

I'm... not even going to attempt to parse that

11:48 PM
or burrito pizza burritos

@GraceNote An enchilada if I've ever seen one

@StrixVaria is blessed hammer good

@TimStone ...everywhere a Canadian passport does?

Q: How can I get the elder scroll dialogue from the orc in the college?

CarlosIts been two days since I went with parthurnax and arngeir and no dialogue from urag at the college....I can't seem to get the option to be able to go looking for the scroll and I don't know how to do it...can anyone help?

@Frank No no, we have an "estate tax", that's applied when people die. Totally different!

11:50 PM
omg had to eventually SOLO that boss :/
All teammates dead, and then 20min of me slash slash heal slash.

I'm also not touching "death tax" for reasons but suffice to say the estate tax does not apply to most people

@TimStone Please, pray tell, how is that different?

@Frank I'm actually not sure if this is true, but you had to be nice to get those rights, we paid for them with our bullying

@TimStone And people tend to like us polite Canadians more!

(I know it's mostly true, just not sure if it's exactly 1:1 or not)

11:50 PM
We're MORE welcome than those arrogant and inconsiderate 'Muricans!

YEAH WELL YOUR FACE

@Unionhawk /argument @Uni wins!

@Frank It's not, but in reality it's probably not entirely unfair

There's an old one

11:52 PM
There's an exemption up to lke $5.3 million, and most people who have an estate worth more than that were likely skirting some tax laws in life anyway >_>

@TimStone If the exemption's been lifted since the last time I checked, yeah, it doesn't affect most Americans.

Yeah pretty much

We should just fix that problem, but hey, easier to collect when you're dead!

also if i give someone a large gift of money that i have payed taxes on, they have to pay taxes on it as well

The way I see it, once you hit a certain point in life, you can hire an accountant to minimize your taxes, and they cost less than your taxes would have.
And the whole thing just sort of snowballs.

11:53 PM
Dear government. Please stop taking my money. I worked for it, you didn't.

Oh jesus

@Frank I'm actually trying to hire one, but because I'm getting screwed, not because I have excess :P
Just say no to being an LLC partner, kids

@TimStone People suck. :(

It'd be better if the tax preparation companies didn't lobby so hard against simplification of tax codes

Successfully finished GR20 and got the rest of my Firebird set :D
cc: @Yuuki

11:55 PM
Nice.

@TimStone That's how they get their money!

Yeah, going to H&R Block costs me $450 each year >:/

As a sidenote, I apparently didn't have enough to do, and I was thinking of potential improvements to the wiring in my kit.

I can't wait to have complex returns
/s

And I realized, I don't know the first thing about doing any of it.

11:56 PM
WOO SIMPLE RETURN
WOO

But not only do I have to figure out how much I owe for the prior year, I have to estimate what I'll owe in the current year to make quarterly estimated payments. |:

TAKE THAT @TimStone

JUST SAY NO TO LLCs

I found this‌, which seems to do what I want...but I don't know what half the stuff is.

(my federal return is free because any idiot can fill out a 1040-EZ)
(literally any idiot)

11:57 PM
The IRS came after me one year before I started working because I didn't file, but had capital gains income from a fund my dad had turned over to me to help pay for college.
I owed $75
The penalty for not filing was more than that

@TimStone Gotta make it worthwhile to actually come after you!

The funny part was that I had noted that the account had a net loss for the year, which is why I hadn't filed
I had to call them and have them send me the copies of what they had that made them think I owed so I could file
On top of the full tax booklet and everything else they sent me
