Q: What's the name of this font?

RogUEI came across this site accidentally and noticed the font in this site: Would anyone(mods?) care to tell me what this font is? I do not know wether this is the right place to ask this silly question , but I feel like I am right because this question is related to Arqade, so I am asking here.

Q: Can't kill Morvudd in the Missing Son quest in Witcher 3

jb.I can't kill Morvudd in The Missing Son quest. I manage to bring him to zero health (after which my hits do zero damage), but he doesn't die. I use Witcher 1.07.

BenWhen the game was re-released, there was a list of achievements added as well. However, in the game, there is only a list of "achievements" (presumably ones already earned), with no indication of what they are or how to get them, or even how many there are. The only thing I'm sad about is that I didn't do it tuesday and confused the heck out of my sister wednesday. It currently still has a dark red/purpleish glow if I'm standing in a serious amount of sun.

Q: How to make a 2D image which kills people who see it?

DoubleDoubleThere are numerous, (or at least one that I can think of), horror films which - after watching a short film or video - or seeing a particular thing - the person would be cursed and (probably) die. Is it actually possible for a 2D image or video to kill the person who sees it? How would this have...

@Unionhawk That weaponized Jellyfish one was pretty horrifying
@MBraedley They've done a good job cleaning that up recently, I think.
I don't spend much time on DailyMotion, though.
@StrixVaria They've done a good job segregating the NSFW content, which is different
@MBraedley But that means you won't stumble upon it unless you're looking for it, so my link is still safe enough.
Unless we can't link reddit or bing or vimeo anymore, either?
Although, really, who links to bing?
@StrixVaria I know, just mentioning it for completeness.

Repeated exposure to this can kill you.
Yeah, basically - the idea is that your brain is a computer, so there just might be a biological Halt and Catch Fire instruction hidden somewhere in it, which can be triggered by an audiovisual cue

This discussion made me remember Halloween 3, one of the worst movies ever
Halloween III: Season of the Witch is a 1982 American science fiction horror film. The film is the third installment in the Halloween franchise and notable for being the only entry in the series that does not feature the fictional character Michael Myers, nor does it include story elements from either Halloween (1978) or Halloween II (1981). It is the first film to be written and directed by Tommy Lee Wallace. John Carpenter and Debra Hill, the creators of Halloween, returned as producers. The film stars Tom Atkins as Dr. Dan Challis, Stacey Nelkin as Ellie Grimbridge, and Dan O'Herlihy as Conal...
Though I guess there was a "Stonehenge computer chip" or some such that reacted to the video
13:03
@Sterno wat
not even trying to hide it now?
@Sterno Joe Dirt was the worst movie I've ever seen.
@StrixVaria You haven't seen enough movies.
@GodEmperorDune Why would I want to hide something so awesome?
@StrixVaria Hah, my brother would try to kill you for saying that. He LOVES Joe Dirt.
I've never seen it myself.
@twobugs I refuse to believe it's possible for someone to enjoy that movie.
@Sterno i don't even know who you are anymore
13:07
There are movies that are "so bad it's good", like Sharknado I guess.
18 mins ago, by Sterno
Repeated exposure to this can kill you.
But Joe Dirt has defied even that category.
We should hold a movie night where only notoriously bad movies are shown (like the room)
Cloudy with a chance of Sharknados

YOU'RE TEARING ME APART, LISA
Mega Piranha was one of those
@StrixVaria is it bad that i'm starting to like this song?
@5pike Considering we usually only do two showings a night, that'd only be two bad movies.
Four over a weekend.
@Yuuki I meant, only bad movies can be put up for vote
Ah.
13:09
@GodEmperorDune It's bad that you used the word "song" to describe it.
Well, Movie Night needs to get popular again before we do that.
Maybe we can all agree that the best movie is Real Genius
Turnout was fairly poor last time, almost as bad as the US elections.
@Yuuki Yeah, no rush
@Yuuki bad time i guess
13:11
@djsmiley2k when?
Maybe turnout would improve if all of the movies weren't for children.
@GnomeSlice for you to end up on wiki how, about how to get everyone ina room to watch you
@LessPop_MoreFizz Oh, what a burn
Donnie Darko
@djsmiley2k Ok, actually, this movie is pretty awful too.
13:13
@djsmiley2k collegehumor posted those
@5pike it wasn't even really meant as one. It's just a probably true pattern in the film selections.
WTF DONNIE DARKO IS GREAT
It is literally impossible to understand without researching the mythos of the movie, which was made specifically for the movie.
Donnie Darko is terrible
I mean, if you like movies for children, that's fine, but variety is a good thing.
13:14
It seems like maybe it's good until you realize that even the filmmakers don't know what the fuck is going on
You're terrible, but that's beside the point
> Why don't you suck a fuck
Classic
Eh, I liked Donnie Darko but the mythos stuff is 100% true
@LessPop_MoreFizz I've been doing my best to suggest movies with titties and violence buy nobody votes for them
I won't defend it. Apparently they made a sequel which is supposed to be awful.
13:15
It's kind of an entertaining movie to watch, I guess, but I've never left a movie less satisfied, and actually angry.
Let's just watch the Kingsman church scene for 2 hours
Donnie Darko isn't bad or anything, but it's wildly overrated and the myth is stuff is unbearable, as with most films that have a cult following and overwrought rules or world building.
See also: Club, Fight.
I've never seen clubfight
Still
@GnomeSlice Fight Club.

That's because everybody followed the first rule I guess
But not sure if you've seen that either.
I've never seen fightclub
@Yuuki so next movie night should be the recent fantastic 4, right?
2
I knew what movie he was talking about
We should watch nothing but 80s action movies
13:17
@GnomeSlice you'd go apeshit for it.
@GodEmperorDune Well, it does seem like it's the worst movie ever made.
That good?
Judging by Rotten Tomatoes at least.
Pulp Fiction
Shoot 'Em Up is the only action movie anyone ever needs.
13:17
Was good
@GnomeSlice its single digit on rotten tomatoes
@GodEmperorDune Fantastic 4 is

@5pike Ok, actually, I'll agree to that. I saw that recently and it was great.
Back to work
Huh, Shaun the Sheep on the other hand seems to be critically acclaimed, according to Rotten Tomato
Die Hard.
Always Die Hard.
Die Hard: The best Christmas movie ever made.
13:19
Oooo, it's stop motion. Neat.
@5pike I nominated John Wick one time and it got downvoted to f--k.
@GnomeSlice fight club was literally tailor made in service to your tastes, as near as I can tell.
@Yuuki Because people have no taste
CLEARLY
@PrivatePansy It's from the guys who did Wallace and Gromit.
@Yuuki Ah, that explains a lot
13:20
@Yuuki because the only thing that can get consensus is children's movies.
@Yuuki Didn't they do a Pirate movie too? I heard that was supposed to be good
@5pike I think the problem is that I may have seeded a predisposition to Disney and Marvel movies.
adult movies get downvoted to hell and kid movies draw a bad turnout. answer? teen movies. time for twilight
@Yuuki Yeah, 't was though competition.
@LessPop_MoreFizz Man, @GnomeSlice would have been like 5 or something when that movie came out.
(I feel old)
13:21
@Rapitor If the next Movie Night draws bad turnout, I might have to move towards simply deciding the movie on my own.
@Yuuki what? anarchy!
I wanted to attend the last movie night I was just busy :(
Which I really don't like.
@twobugs yeah, same
13:22
I need to find an easy way to pick a good weekend then.
@Yuuki a strawpoll or something with dates
I'm a lot more likely to watch Movie Night if it's a new movie that costs like $3 to rent rather than something I can watch free whenever I want on Netflix (or have probably already seen because it is 10 years old)
That said, I'm not terribly likely to watch Movie Night at all due to time constraints
...welp

It's okay. The WSJ sucks anyway.
Well, their op-eds are extremely farcical by this point. Dunno about the rest of their stuff.

@5pike oh really? works for me and i dont have any of that stuff... try this one
@Rapitor To do date polling for the next Movie Night, I think I'm going to push it to September.
Movie Night schedule might move to every two months instead of every month so we can do date polling as well.
@Rapitor How long do straw polls (on strawpoll.me) last?
no idea
@Rapitor I'm sure that will wreak havoc with trade... oh wait
I know Japan was pretty freaking brutal in WW2, but i wonder what east asia would've been like if things turned out better for them

@twobugs Well, I could explain it better than "that's how it works in the comics", but that's essentially it.
So... the latest version of SourceMod in master is known to have issues. Rather than update the submodule reference back to an older, working version or to one of the versions that supposedly fixes the problem, it's been sitting at the current release for 5 days.

@Yuuki This inexplicably makes me want to play through the game again with that mod on.

Oh, XIII-2.
Right.
14:26

@GodEmperorDune @twobugs I'll try to post up a Movie Night meta by the end of the day so we can get feedback on scheduling.

ff
xiii-2
14:30
I didn't really want anything to do with XIII-2 after the XIII debacle.
I feel that Squeenix has put too many resources in artists and graphics designers. The newer games look good, but they don't really play well in my opinion.
And the stories aren't that compelling.
And the XIII storyline was annoying to follow. But time travel tends to do that to everything.
I really like 13-2.
@Yuuki Funny you should mention that, I think there's a quote somewhere about the team that worked on 13. They had like 150 or so artists and 30 programmers.
I didn't mind XIII.
In fact, the part where I stopped playing was when it kind of opened up and had a semblance of open-world-ness to it.
There were multiple separate groups working on completely different parts of the game. The whole thing was so mismanaged it's a miracle we got a game out of it at all.
Honestly, I still like 13 but it has issues. I platinum'd it.
@StrixVaria I've heard the boss that I got hung up on (beat him, but didn't want to play anymore after that) was right before the open-world stuff.
If you went into XIII wanting customizeable characters and deep gameplay, then you would definitely be disappointed.
But if you just went in to experience a thing, the experience was pretty decent.
14:36
I think a lot of people are too hard on 13, or that many of their complaints also apply to older games in the series.
I dunno, my experience was pretty s---.
Sure, the game is very linear. FF had been heading in a linear direction for a quite a while, though.
I mean, in 10 you're extremely railroaded until the airship.
FFXIII is like an interactive movie.
When you can fight a boss six times in a row and only win the sixth time based on a quirk of RNG, that kinda pisses me off. Yeah, a lot of previous FF bosses had RNG factors, but this one was just so stupid.
@Yuuki I don't remember any difficulties like that.
14:37
@Yuuki Which boss are you thinking of? The hardest stuff for me were the Eidolon fights, but they were more puzzle based than anything else.
Rule of thumb: Absolutely do not put a devastating AoE attack in a game where you can't control where the characters are.
@twobugs One dude had a really hard-hitting line AoE attack.
@Yuuki Oh, so Chrono Trigger? :P
My party would group up and try to tank that move together.
@Yuuki Ok, that's fair and definitely frustrating.
Have you played Grandia 2?
Sixth time was a piece of cake because they actually spread out.
14:39
I should dig out my Dreamcast just to play Grandia 2 again.
I did literally no grinding in between those six attempts.
@Yuuki Well the game doesn't explain this very well but for many attacks like that you're supposed to have a SEN/SEN/SEN paradigm to swap to and mitigate damage
@twobugs Yes, this definitely became a paradigm I always had set up.
@twobugs The issue is that even with SEN/SEN/SEN, the AoE nearly kills you and even two MEDs isn't enough to survive.
I really liked the battle system. You had to adapt and prepare for each fight. It was cool.
14:40
That will be a definite purchase for me.
@Yuuki Okay, that absolutely didn't happen for me.
@Yuuki There's a chance that @twobugs and I just did more grinding in general throughout the game before that fight.
I mean, I just fought every battle. I didn't really grind (you can't 'outlevel' stuff anyway)
I don't think grinding was an issue. Like I said, as soon as my party members spread out even a little, the fight was cake.
My friend had trouble with the game because he purposely avoided every fight and his characters were super weak, but that doesn't sound like the issue
My friend is also an idiot.
14:45
The annoying thing is that the character designs really entice me into playing the XIII series every time I see them.
Either way, sorry you had such a frustrating time with FFXIII @Yuuki. 13-2 is better but I wouldn't blame you for not giving it a shot
But then I remember how much that boss fight pissed me off and I'm just, "I can't deal with that again".
I played a bit of the console version of Lightning Returns but it didn't run very well. Waiting on the PC version to finally come out (SOMEDAY)
it didn't?
/me didn't notice :/
tbh Lightning Returns wasn't that good.
I just have a bit of a sore spot around FF13 because my previously mentioned friend absolutely hates the game and goes out of his way to tell me how horrible it is at every opportunity (despite him playing far worse crap)
@djsmiley2k The little bit I played was awesome. I want to give it a chance and see how absurd the story gets
Apparently it started life as Valkyrie Profile 3?
14:48
I've not played that, but it's not very FF like
That's for sure.
It's good, but it's not what I wanted :)
I just love the open world side-quest focused take
Well, not really side-quest focused but they put a lot more emphasis on that
It's basically Square Enix's take on the Zelda game where the moon is falling.
That kinda thing.
It's fun, yes. I enjoyed it, but it's not really FF
You could swap out Lightning, and the.... others. And it'd be the same game.
I think that's a side effect of it starting development as a non-FF game :P
@twobugs I have no problems with most "issues" that people bring up. I actually enjoy linear games. It tends to result in a more cohesive experience and a stronger story. Too many sandboxes these days, tbh. The combat system was interesting. The character design was pretty good.
It's just that one f--king boss fight.
14:50
@Yuuki you can just do the main quest
Yeah, linear doesn't bother me if it's done right. It can just as easily be done wrong, though.
Wait, FFXIII or Lighting returns?
@djsmiley2k XIII.
Ah ok
I think i know which boss fight you mean
So I have my brother's phone for some reason
14:51
Can u link it? name it?
The guy with the spinning blades?
I think it's one of the Barthandelus fights.
13-1: Lightning begins
13-2: Lightning departs
13-3: Lightning returns
One of the l'cie fights was eww too
For me, the fight was determined entirely by a quirk of RNG.
I'm sorry, but if a boss fight is basically a dice roll, there's no reason for me to play any further.
14:52
I need to get back into Type-0. I'm just so sucked into Destiny right now though
I haven't even finished Persona Q or even started EOU2
