It's worth noting that the "do not auto-update" setting is here since a few years, and didn't work properly for most of the time - it's not even clear if it works right now. The only safe way is to be in offline mode. Completely offline, as in - turn off your wireless network, pull the network plugs. — Martin Sojka Aug 23 '12 at 12:52

Q: Does weapon quality degrade overtime?

I have a "minimal wear" p90 "desert dunes"(or something like that) and I have a good amount of "field tested" skins. Over time in my inventory, do item's quality degrade(unequipped) or do the items have to be actually used to get beat up? -Neffer-

@StrixVaria People were going in thinking it would be an MMO, Open World, or just much bigger game. Not the Story-Driven linear Campaign(like Halo or CoD) it actually is.

there are open elements, but not enough to be noteworthy, you are still guided along a set path.

@Unionhawk I have 15/1.5 service from my cable company... the problem with them is that they refuse to allow me to use a DOCSIS 3.0 cable modem and they like randomly dropping the upstream channel.

DOCSIS 3.0 has multi-channel support as does said cable company's network.

As much as it was an interesting way to explain why you can't use your full arsenal right from the get-go (rather than loosing everything again), It really needed some kind of "fuck you, adam" mechanic. like when you're fighting the fire-based boss atop the volcano.
