@Frank Most of mine have been dupes
Whenever I see a game I'm not familiar with during the sale I place a little bet with myself that it'll be on @GnomeSlice's wishlist. So far I'm doing pretty good.
@Fluttershy Dooooo iiiiiiit.
Is Kairosoft...hiring?
That's the best I can peel out of that.
user15026
I have no idea what any of that means
22:20
@Chippies That is a game I played 20min of wanted to record it and still want to get back to it cause it looked like a good deal of fun!
@AshleyNunn Google translate doesn't do much; most of the important stuff is in the pictures.
And I think they have a referral program.
22:48
@Frank I want to get it, but I don't want to have to pay a monthly fee. :(
@Fluttershy Yeah, it sucks. I know.
The gameplay makes it worth it in my opinion, but not everyone agrees with me.
@Frank I agree with you. But I'm not really in a position to afford it at the moment. :(
@Fluttershy I'm sorry to hear that. :( It's a really good game.
Well, if my, "You managers are cheap bastards, and you really need to value us more" speech goes anywhere, I might be able to do something about that.
@BenBrocka shopping for a HDMI splitter, I seem to remember you doing research not too long ago. any rec's?
@Frank ?
22:51
3 hours ago, by Frank
I get to tell our upper management the equivalent of, "You guys are cheap, and if you keep being cheap, IT will keep leaving. Stop being cheap."
@James it is a neat game, although it looks like it came straight from 2005 even on ultra settings
@Fluttershy He's offering to pay for your subscription
If he gets a raise
and it's way too dark and there's no brightness option...
@Chippies I play a lot of minecraft :D Graphics are not so terribly important to me, hehe.
@GnomeSlice O_o That's not what I took from that at all.
22:52
@Frank Jiyobuchenji, man. Uh, for some reason when I added spaces between letters (ジ ョ ブ チ ェ ン ジ) Google Translate picked it up as "Job Change". So yes.
The game play of building up your own survival are and dealing with the other survivors as allies or competition just seemed really neat to me :D
@James there's a difference between good graphics and simplistic style
I think minecraft has good graphics, even if its simple
my issue with state of decay is with tree leaves, they are blurry and pixely
@Chippies Haha, I dont :) I would use a resource pack most of the time if I could.
looking in the distance with trees in view is kinda bad
other than that it's fine
Have you seen The Forest?
22:54
and the graphics settings seem to only add shadows
Yeah I think State of Decay was an indy developed xbox 360 game originally
I actually play on max (which is one step below ultra) with maxed gamma because the game is so dark and shadowy everywhere
@badp So my context was right on the money, then.
I may be entirely wrong on that though
they really should implement a brightness setting in options
22:54
This is the green item selected at the top
@James yeah, you are correct on that
the very first encounter with zombies was when the character said "Lets hope they don't see us" and I was looking everywhere around me and I couldn't see any zombies
that being said, lowering graphics from ultra to max and maxing out gamma helped a lot
@Chippies Yeah I recall them being like over in the forest to the left behind a bush or something :D
FAE
FAE
@James It's developed by Undead Studios, which was founded by Jeff Strain after he left ArenaNet.
@FAE Haha, You know more than I do :) I am not sure who that is.
I've been told there's that crap feature where things happen while you're not playing and I haven't decided if I want to use 3rd party programs to disable that...
FAE
FAE
23:02
@James Ex-Blizzard, was a lead programmer for WoW before he co-founded ArenaNet.
@FAE sounds like someone who knows his stuff
FAE
FAE
I followed State of Decay's development pretty closely for a while after he left because it was kind of a big thing that he left Anet (though it was amicable).
I have no words...
Apparently it's real
FAE
FAE
@Chippies Yeah, he worked on other Blizzard stuff too. I've played a lot of Guild Wars, so I follow/ed ArenaNet's stuff pretty closely throughout the years.
@RedRiderX There's guys doing that in Japan too, right Chippies?
You linked me that didn't you
23:05
@GnomeSlice Well this one is from 1987
That explains why it looks so old
@FAE Ah guild wars that is why it sounded kind of familiar D
:D
Indeed
@GnomeSlice no, but I told you about a business of subscription based renting game buddies that I made up long ago
Somebody else linked me it then
23:05
And yeah I think most of the talent jumped ship from Blizzard

Q: What are the requirements to get the floor jump?

Memor-XI was exploring Floor 14 and found the stairs going down to floor 15 but the floor jump didn't become enabled. now i know there was a couple of islands i hadn't mapped but i was quite sure i had mapped every possible way to the stairs i had found both ways to reach the island where you meet the...

Also, Today's Listening:
It's good that Kickstarter realizes it needs to combat Kickstarter fatigue and the growing opinion that backed projects never actually happen.
It's dumb that the games one is only steam games and the movies one is only iTunes though
23:09
@GnomeSlice in gaming world, steam is the word for "success"
Idk shit about iTunes tho
Games shouldn't stick to one platform/store
3
@GnomeSlice Eh those are the default platforms for both of those types of media
@Chippies Not any more it isn't.
That doesn't mean some of them aren't on other stores right?
I dunno. I don't think any of those are, but I don't know offhand.
It's not a huge list though.
23:10
Heaven knows I'll never buy anything on iTunes
I used to buy music there.
Lol.
I'm glad I was able to avoid it
I guess there aren't really any other online movie stores.
Google music or direct from source is how I go now.
@GnomeSlice Eh, Netflix?
Can you buy stuff there?
23:11
Not really a store I know
I thought it was a subscription
Youtube?
No for movies
Really? I didn't know that was a thing.
23:12
And Google Play
Can you download them?
@GnomeSlice Well as much as any other youtube video I imagine.
I didn't even know that was a thing.
And probably for Google Play
@GnomeSlice It's been a thing for a while
@RedRiderX GOLL DARN THAT'S NOT THE ONE I MEANT
HERE:
@RedRiderX ahh, that guy...
23:15
He does some crazy stuff
Yeah, I've seen some of his videos
and he's so full of energy, it's fun to watch everything he does
Honestly, everyone should use r/listentothis and expand their musical tastes a bit.
It's so great.
It seems a little slanted towards Rock and Pop, but stilll has a bit of everything

Q: Is there any Yu-Gi-Oh game which is in an open world format?

Memor-XI've played a handful of Yu-Gi-Oh games but the one problem i have with most of them is that it's only duel after duel after duel, the only cards you get are ones you win. I played Reshef of Destruction because it was open world but i gave up on it when too many times a powerful monster i summon...

Q: How does the time work?

user80351Why is the dawn at 1000 and the dusk at 13000? I tried looking it up on minecraft wiki but it didn't work, it kept going on about clocks. Whenever I put in the command 'time set day' it says 'Set time to 1000'. And when I put 'time set night', it says 'Set time to 13000'. What is the system beh...

@RedRiderX I like that link, especially since my musical taste is extremely varied
Same here. I find myself using it a lot lately.
23:57
I bookmarked it and I'm listening to it now :)
