@badp Tom and Jerry never had their own show afaik; they were short films which were originally released theatrically and then got packaged into clip compilations along with the likes of the looney tunes and poppy et al.
@LessPop_MoreFizz I'm talking about series where every episode is self contained and the status of the world reverts at the end of every episode to its default value
Proposed Q&A site for transportation and infrastructure professionals and specialists concerning development of transportation (rail, bus, ferry) systems, city development issues.
@LessPop_MoreFizz "Stick a lone human in a tin can for 40 years, that's just cruel and and unusual. Do it 1000 people for 400 years, and that's a crime against humanity!"
> only the Norwegian children's radio program Lørdagsbarnetimen (first aired in 1924), the American country music radio program Grand Ole Opry (first broadcast in 1925) and the BBC religious program The Daily Service (1928) have been on the air longer.
Is it any way extension, plugin, etc. to buy whole companies in multiplayer mode in openttd? I companies fusion would be quit an interesting challenge.
I'm playing a Sorcerer through the original official campaign and I've been picking up various items that seem initially worthless but look like they should have some uses:
Dragon Blood, Special Holy Water, Firebeetle Belly, Skeleton Knuckle, and others.
In a FAQ, I read they're reagents, but i...
In the first few turns, there is a base income of 10 gold per turn. Later, this rises steadily, but how exactly is the value calculated? Does it simply increase after a certain number of turns, or does it depend on the player's actions in any way?
My son is only 5, he just started playing Minecraft a week ago. I don't know anything about the game at all. I purchased a server for him through potpotsie so he's able to play with his friends and other people. He's able to access his server but it does not recognize him as the owner of the serv...
Quetzalcoatl has an interesting legendary ability:
Locust Swarm and Haunt now deal their damage in half of the normal duration.
Creeping Death is a new Witch Doctor passive that also affects Locust Swarm and Haunt:
Your Haunt, Locust Swarm and the damage amplification from Piranhas last...
In Goat Simulator, you can unlock mutators or power-ups for your goat such as rockets or a ball launcher. While you can have one apparently active at the same time and use it via (R) is there anyway to switch between the two?
I have Wings of Liberty, but I am thinking of getting HoTS. My code for Wings of Liberty has been used on my locked account. So, my question is do I need another copy of Wings of Liberty to play HoTS, or would my copy be sufficient enough to play HoTS without Wings of Liberty being linked to my a...
I do not know if this is a bug but Garry's Mod Question shows up twice in question list. Here is a screen cap.
Umm is this normal? If so then please just ask me to go away. :-)
I am again playing ME3, but as the answer to this question suggests she should be in Docking Bay 2.
But I can not find her anywhere in the entire docks holding area.
I am at the beginning of the Tuchanka mission, it has not been started yet.
What are the criteria to get to meet Kelly in ME3?
@badp Honestly, he's pretty much dead on in that Oculus needed to partner up eventually. Valve had a space they could play in which was largely ignored for half a decade while they got it right. Because they definitely did not get it right on day one.
By the time everyone and his uncle started opening an online software shop/games shop, Valve had just an absolutely massive head start.
@badp I'm using Carmack's language. As he put it, Oculus needed to partner up with somebody at a minimum. The fact that they chose to be acquired instead of simply doing a joint venture is a question of magnitude.
Do you really think the reaction would have been different if they had instead announced "Today, we're announcing a new joint venture with Facebook, they're going to be investing heavily in Oculus, and we're going to work directly with them".
@LessPop_MoreFizz My reaction would have been "Wat...? Er... pls no?" instead of "Oh no. Oh god no. Oh nonononononononononononono NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO T_T"
Which is funny, because if you look at recent major tech buyouts, Facebook has probably been a better buyer than just about any of the other behemoths; they tend to just leave things they buy alone. See: Instagram.
Whereas, for example, Google and Apple both, whenever they buy something, promptly dismantle it and integrate the tech halfassedly everywhere while everyone quits.
And Yahoo tends to just... run a thing into the ground by hamhandedly imposing their network over it and alienating the staff.
I wonder if the Autocad DRM @OrigamiRobot has at work just whips him in the elbow every three minutes, causing him to be in constant pain he lets out silently through uppercase chat
@LessPop_MoreFizz but compared to Facebook, I would have preferred Valve or another gaming company. Yes, there are great possibilities for VR outside of games and other interactive experiences, but the early adopters will be gamers and visionaries. The second group will buy regardless of who is selling.
It is kind of weird that they decided that Facebook would be the better bet because the core businesses are so far removed from each other, there would be little leak through between the two worlds
(or at least that's how they dismissed options such as Microsoft or EA, who would've been able to swap human resources in and out of the project more naturally)
@badp that was my worry. Facebook has no business area that relates to the current state of VR, and their dreams of social interaction seem too far down the road.
"YOU DON'T HAVE TO BE A HORSE TO RUN UPHILL. OCULUS REBOOK, NOW WITH SKYRIM PHYSICS."
It actually makes more sense than the Facebook acquisition. Except I guess your average sports equipment manufacturer doesn't quite have as much money on hand I suppose.
@MBraedley Sure it is, she said 'to many goblins', not 'too many goblins.' Clearly, she is issuing a toast or call to arms, and not making a comment about the quantity thereof.
@LessPop_MoreFizz apparently, according to Apple, American English is the only proper English, which is patently wrong. Also, they have Australian English, but not Canadian English. I'll settle for British English, which is close enough.
But my location was set to Canada, my keyboard was set to US, and my language set to English. I assumed that would have been enough to set the correct dictionary.
How many untold billions of dollars has the Canadian economy lost to the printing of extraneous u's in any number of official and commercial documents? Just think of how much ink and paper that adds up to, in the aggregate.
> I mean, think about it. When have you ever heard a bunny or rabbit make a noise? You haven’t. That is because they don’t. There is no fine print to go along with this, they just don’t. No barks, no meows, no oinks, no purrs, nothing. Some people want an animal that makes noises so they can know the mood it is in. Yet, anyone who has had to deal with an animal who makes excessive noise can tell you, it sucks. It really does.
I've been playing for a while now, I'm apparently looking for a girl or something, but unless I missed it, there was absolutely no introduction to who I am, or what I am doing, what I'm looking for, where I am, what any of this is.
Have I missed something (perhaps cos I didn't play the earlier b...
He didn't. I did, because 'GOOGLE IT DUMMY' is not productive, and because, furthermore you're addressing only the most surface aspect of the question possible. (A better answer would, for example, point out that there is no continuity we earlier bioshock games, and yes, you should be patient because lots of stuff is just tossed out in the intro.)
So, anyway, for those of you in Europe, Professor Layton vs. Phoenix Wright came out Friday.
...but just like Azran Legacy's NA delay, it isn't out yet in North America. No doubt in part because they use a different voice actor (well, actress) for Luke in North America.

I might get vs, but I am not really sold on Azran. The last few Layton games weren't that enjoyable for me.
@AshleyNunn I thought Azran was OK, but some plot development did seem out of left field.
Then again, if you compare the two trilogies, the first trilogy seems like it could happen (except the very end of the third game) with rich enough people, whereas the second trilogy couldn't.
It does finally wrap up Descole's storyline, though.
Hmm, I went to work in PHP for the first time in a while only to find standard instructions for the Symfony framework now use a third-party dependency manager whose installation instructions assume you have curl installed.
Success at the hacking minigame in EVE is mostly a stat check - if you've brought enough virus strength and coherence for the particular difficulty level, you get the loot 90% of the time, a bit less and you lose it half the time, farther and you'll rarely open anything.

@Powerlord meh, it's never about file size, it's about file count
It takes the exact same time to remove a multi terabyte file as a empty file in most file systems, cause all it does is say "This entry stating the file name and where it is? null that"
I am sharing my dad's steam account on my computer. He bought/downloaded/installed a game on his user, but I have to reinstall it on my user. How can I get it on my user without re-downloading it, like internally transferring it?
Extra info: My computer is a Mac running Mavericks
I was thinking of playing a half-orc character in DDO but realised that I'm not sure which classes are good or bad to play as a half-orc.
Half-orcs have low Charisma so Sorcerer/Paladin/Bard seems to be contraindicated. They have high Strength so melee seems to be favoured, but what about enhanc...
@Yuki I crit for 1-1.3m with primary and hammer crits for around the same, but it hits a lot more times, whereas heaven's fury was doind around 4m dmg but only hits once
