Speaking of Steam Beta clients, the new server Steam account tracking system should be going in to it soon if it hasn't already.

Granted, TF2 is the only supported game for this, but basically servers will be tracked by their Steam account instead of IP for the Favo(u)rites list. If the server is registered.

it works extremely well in some cases, some weird issues in others. HL2 of all things had weird encoding? bugs that made it unplayable. BL2 was fantastic and extremely playable, though it was capped at 30FPS for no apparent reason

and this was over wireless, on the other side of the house, I only tried ethernet briefly and for proteus

I was amazed at 2ms input lag (for keyboard/touchpoint). I should test it more, but it definitely has the potential to be extremely close to playing it on the real PC

though this was 720p (the best my laptop can do), I'll have to test 1080p later, shouldn't be too different though. 720p at 30FPS in BL2 was only 20% network utilization, and that's wireless. But it has a weird/stupid cap of 15Mbps as @agent86 mentioned, hopefully they remove that
