My real pet peeve is when the question title and the text don't match well, and one but not both are a dupe of something existing.

So you end up in a situation where you close as a dupe because the title is pretty much the same thing, but the actual question bodies are pretty different. That one drives me nuts.

Because a lot of people here really just care about the title part in terms of duping, and think the original should be broadened to include the new thing

Whereas I think a smarter move would be to edit the title

I only hate detailed questions that are marked as dupes of a more general question, when the general question does not yet (or possibly ever) have an answer to the detailed question.

In this particular case, the more I look, the more I think they're separate questions.
