However, between mojang's own help section and xpaw.ru/mcstatus, I feel there are currently sufficient resources for this purpose. But what you linked to was a single blog post, which only helped for this one single instance of downtime. That part of your answer was not future-proof.

The question is not opinion-based. Nor will it generate discussions. The answer is clear-cut. The problem is that it's really localized.

I'm just pointing out that it's not at all constructive.
