@GraceNote This month seems to be a pretty slow month for game releases, looking through the Amazon top pre-order list, probably the biggest releases are tomorrow (Duke Nukem Forever & Red Faction) and then Dungion Siege III & Fear 3 next week.

@GraceNote Tuesday is the slowest day in retail. Therefore, the retailers insisted that new movies on VHS tapes come out on Tuesdays to draw in business. And it's gone on for another two decades since, expanding out to video games, too.

Whatever mainstream stuff I do purchase, I either pre-order (and they always arrive on a Friday thus far) or I order long after their release.

@GraceNote I like discs as well, especially for Collector's Editions. Having a digital CE is just not the same as having a fancy box, art book, etc.

@GraceNote Oh yes, costume concept art is my favorite actually. I like seeing what final designs got into the game and what didn't and how the "feel" of a character has changed from the original to the final product.

Whenever I'm doing character creation in a game, I spend way more time on their costumes and whatnot than I do IRL for my own wardrobe :x

I'm incredibly picky about armor and clipping and etc. >_>

I actually know a game developer who can't play Tauren in WOW because of the tail clipping in certain circumstances. Drives her nuts.

Most of the time, clipping won't get me ragey unless it's horribly constant. The majority of the time I shrug it off, but it still irks me a little.

It really irritates me when it's in a very frequent occurrence, though.

Like, in League of Legends, Lux's skirt just ever so slightly clips into her right leg in her basic standing animation. Makes me sad to see.

It's been recently given to people who made the bestest TF2 videos. It's a golden statue melee weapon that replaces each classe's main. Problem is, a class, the Heavy, has his own fists as his melee weapon.

Q: How to clone maps in Minecraft SMP (1.6.6)?

I'm running a vanilla Minecraft server updated to 1.6.6. We're trying to make clones of maps other than map_0, however the command /give player 358:1 1 does not work. Instead it says "There is no item with id 358:1" Everyone says that command works, and apparently we're the only ones having is...

Q: Recording gameplay from my console

Is there some kind of gadget that allows you to record your gameplay on a console? I have a friend asking me a bunch of questions on Final Fantasy 12 and it would be much easier for me to simply send a decent quality video of me playing the game to him (or burn it to DVD).
