@BenBrocka With the exception of the mucked-up mobile chat, the auto mention isn't necessary. It's great for a conversation, but when the mention appears again in the message, it's redundant.
I wonder if non-Arqade moderators suspend people in other chat rooms, or if it's just localized to here. Some of the shit I see coming from Math or Comms Room, I can't help but wonder if anything's actually done about that.
@Fluttershy most of the stuff flagged in TCR is flagged by those that rarely use the room and don't know the culture. As it's quite an "adult" site with topics covered there's some things that you won't see in other SE chat rooms.
@tombull69 Right. And this room is known for banter, language, and name calling. So I tend to take issue with moderators unfamiliar with how we act in here stepping in and throwing suspensions around.
I'm not a moderator. I have ~50k rep on Server Fault. I am a regular in chat.
Because chat allows all 10k+ users across the network to act on chat flags, I (and many other regulars in SF chat) see some problematic users from other chats flagging things that aren't actually offensive.
I disagree...
I reviewed World Engineer's flag and I see no problem with it, except for the fact that I wouldn't act on it myself given that the insult is thrown at me
I wrote the highest-voted feature request on changing the chat flag system, I'm not a fan of it, but this was not a case where the flag system failed right now
at the end of the day chat is a site with network wide standards and network wide moderation; we can try and push the line but we shouldn't be surprised when the line pushes back at us.

I could go to christianity.se, say "god doesn't exist lol" and get flagged by a room's user as it was offensive to them. Depending on who handles the flag it also may or may not be offensive to them.
@Wipqozn Yeah you'll be fine. I recommend Pikmin 2 highly as well. It's changed how exploration works a fair bit, and there's no longer an absolute time limit. Plus 2 player co-op/versus which is really fun
> It was stated by Miyamoto in one of the Nintendo Direct discussions following E3 that Olimar has an appearance in the storyline of Pikmin 3, in which at some point the three new captains will end up either meeting or getting involved with Olimar in some way. Miyamoto also said that Olimar will not have that big of an appearance. There are no other current details on this however aside from that interview.
@Powerlord Just a joke, Valve actually has much more reason to keep TF2 without a sequel than any other franchise, really, since they can just keep updating it
@Wipqozn they found a back of the box shot (which looks reasonably real): neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=616866 can't tell from the box how many players it supports though (it's japanese)
