I feel that would be rather fitting
But first, we need to make the computer so it can automatically increase it's memory when it needs some :P
So we can spawn game of life inside our simulation of it
Would that be a quine?

That would require building a mechanism that enables the construction of additional OTCA metapixels and/or makes it possible to change the rules per cell.

Either of which would probably be a greater research project and accomplishment than Tetris in GoL.

I updated the overview post to include the bounding box size and the table of contents. I think it's ready to post whenever we all are.

@Mego Can you review my PR?
I just kinda wanted to streamline that bullet point a bit
thx

Done and pulled :)

I'm actually positive Objective C and Fortran would work but I'm only about 60% on D working
C++ would have to be compiled without exceptions
Anonymous
@quartata Wouldn't dynamic memory allocation be a problem?
quartata
Yes but that's in libstdc++ or whatever which we can't link anyways
-ffreestanding -fno-exceptions -fno-rtti
I believe is all that's needed
The problem with exceptions is that they also need ABI stuff in addition to linking to the standard library. We'll probably never get that working
