@DannyuNDos Don't worry, you are not alone, just search reddit / twitter. And while we are at it, some didn't stop there in their self-destructive questioning.
There is an ongoing argument on whether the water produced by water pokemon attacks is safe to drink

> If you enjoy sharing your gaming expertise with others and are willing to contribute to Community Game Help, you can participate by opting in from the Settings menu.
> Once you turn on the settings, your PlayStation 5 will automatically capture a video when you complete a certain activity in a game. Then, it will be reviewed by a moderator, and if approved, your video will be published as a Game Help hint for PlayStation players to watch, learn from, and rate. Your videos will be removed from the PlayStation 5 console once they are uploaded to our servers, so it will not impact your console storage.
Basically, if you opt-in, your console will automatically save videos on its own and post them to the network.
- if I want to post a gameplay video, I want to decide when. It is useless to grab random videos just because I did something
- generally, I don't want some device to be able to simply record me without warning me, for example while I chat about personal topics with friends in a multiplayer game.
- and surely I don't want humans to review your videos (do they record voice chat too?). Those at Amazon are already creepy enough
- lastly, I am not wasting my bandwidth to upload videos for you if I am not paid somehow.

Its mostly that what the fuck is the use
I mean if I'm looking for an achievement/trophy, i'll look up a guide
seeing a rando dude for the last 30 seconds they are looking for the thingy wont do much
And ffs if there is something I disabled quick on my PS5 its the auto video for trophies
Once my PS4 disk was full, was wondering why, and then saw that I had about 6-7GB of screenshots of every time you got a trophy
And on PS5 they upped the ante by taking videos of when you got it
and frankly, its almost never worth shit
Like you want to have a video of the EPIC BOSS FIGHT... usually the trophy pops up after a cutscene. So you wont get the boss kill moment, you'll get the end of the cutscene
But hey thats the continuity of the 'share button' thing that is completely stupid
I dont want to post my everyday gaming to facebook ffs

@Fredy31 you assume it is "the last 30 seconds" but considering that when you save a video on the ps5 afterward (not by starting an explicit recording) the console offers to save up to the last 30 minutes I do fear they can easily decide to record 5 minutes....
Also makes you wonder how much internal caching the PS5 does to be able to do that.
@Fredy31 do you prefer thing like Xenoverse trophies screenshots? 90% of the time they happen during a loading fadeout so you get a black screen

True, most times I hit a story trophy it seems is Boss, cutscene, and then fade to black and it pops on the scene change

@Fredy31 And thus you will be the choose one which game play video and PSN id will forever be associated to the tutorial "How to get the 'What Are You Doing?' trophy" in Nier Automata.
really, I don't want to be the one who will have to handpick and moderate things like the Baldur Gate 3 videos.
Or GTA 6 in a year from now.

Yeah it to be 'moderated'... wow sony why are you creating yourself work for this

@Fredy31 Part of me wished they launched this before April 26...

3:44 PM
@Fredy31 Are you able to update the featured tag for the Screenshot of the Week? Looks like the previous one is still the featured one, instead of the current one

Q: Why was this question downvoted?

DaemonicHere is the question: VALORANT, currently, is not on MacOS. It is also not on Steam. You cannot download VALORANT through the website because... well, there's no button to do so. So how do you get it on Mac? Originally, I thought about using Mac's built in Bootcamp partition, but that doesn't wo...
