ok i tried to play metroid prime and aiming didn't work so the little bugs in the first room rekt me

Swapping B and A sounds like a good idea (because then the prompts in game match the controller) but will break the ergonomics

For the face buttons, you specifically want to be able to press A and B at the same time (jump + shoot) and also hold down A and press Y (charge beam + missile = super missile)

A good mapping I've found, for the xbox controller, is map A/B to B/A, X/Y to X/Y, the bumpers to L and R and the right trigger to Z; swap the bumpers and triggers for a more "true to cube" experience.

Went to get the charge beam and found the bombs instead

Hmm... The PC version of Ys: Memories of Celceta inherits the touch controls of the PS Vita version, but something is a bit off here... on my touch-enabled laptop, I have to double-tap icons to get them to register. (Mouse clicks and drags work as they should.) Is this behavior present in the original PS Vita release, or is it a bug?

I would assume that if XSEED and Falcom went through the trouble of implementing proper touch controls for the PC version, they would make sure it works as it did on the Vita version...

Interesting... the game accepts multitouch inputs, e.g. zooming on the full map.

That points to native touch support.

Hmm... odd. It's treating pinch-to-zoom as scrolling from the mouse, yet it does not accept the scrolling gesture from the laptop's precision touchpad.

This shows that while there was an effort to make the game work in some capacity with touchscreen PCs, the implementation isn't quite complete.

FWIW, this isn't a gaming laptop, but it's an ultrathin system that does happen to be capable of some level of gaming thanks to the Ryzen processor with Radeon Vega graphics.

Interesting. The game does not react the same way with all scrollable lists when I try the pinch-to-zoom gesture.

It scrolls when I do this on the Journal page but not on other parts of the camp menu.

Given that it recognizes the pinch gesture, it does use the Windows Touch API, but touch support is clearly not complete.

More than anything else, though, this was meant to be a technical test. I'd still prefer to play on my big desktop.

@bwDraco yeh in that kind of situation i generally think it's a side effect. like how InputMapper allows the use of the PS4 Controller's touch pad as a mouse however for Windows it considering the press as being a right click no matter where you press with DeSuMe and Trails in the Sky are fine with it like that

@Yuuki Something that I hadn't figured out at first is that every time the bar finishes, it transfers 1% of the stored currency for that level to the row below it

If your second bar has a lot of currency stored, that could be why the income seems really low

That seems about right to me.

The #1 currency is wayyyyyyyyyyyyy higher than any of the others, but the other ones are only a little bit off from each other.

I have 13.7B bar 1 currency, and ~15M bar 2 currency (it fluctuates an insane amount though depending on when I glance at it).

And then down by bar 9 it's still around ~10M

Every time the bar fills 1% of the current value of that row is moved down

So as long as the income is the same they should all balance out at the same point

You get to an equilibrium point where eventually you just have to wait for enough bar 1 currency to get 2 more rows.

Yeah it's super reasonable.

Honestly this team is pretty nice because 7k merges/week is easy and we always hit the top merge goal.

what the hell is happening, one person suddenly leveling up 30 stars.

Since you just got to 10, I guess the mechanic is new.

Once you level up all 10 of your stars to 11, then you go to "x11" stars.

So if you leveled up say all your stars but 1 to level 40, then leveled up the last star 30 times in a row.

You'd get a bunch of levels in a row.

It's mathematically less efficient to save up levels that way.

But once you get to higher stars, stars are worth proportionally less so it kind of doesn't matter.

The main thing you're limiting by doing that is brick production, and I don't think you've even unlocked bricks yet.

The scrapyard v2 decreases the cost for upgrading each star piece, and I've been making sure to feed that as much as possible.

So apparently I'm going to become that person who talks about my diet, but I discovered today that Progresso Light soup is 3 points per can and I am so happy about this

@GodEmperorDune I've only tried the Chicken Vegetable Rotini so far, but it is phenomenal

I went to the store over lunch today and picked up a bunch of those (they're on clearance) and one each of everything else that sounded good, so I'll try those over the next couple weeks

cool, i used to eat a lot of progresso but then got spoiled by my wife making fancy soups and then i couldn't go back

so i am always looking for good soups

@Ash i guess recipes that are easy to prepare would also work

(i know the secret to half of why her soup tastes so good is that she sautees garlic at the bottom of the pan before adding the liquid)

I moved .minecraft to a different folder, in the launch options, I put in the new location, but it still downloads files to the previous location. Well, it tasted good but maybe a little thick for my liking.

i know we have an emuslifier but i make a mess with it

also i dunno how just holding it up is so tiring lol

It's easy, it's fast, it tastes good. (Although I do vote adding some parmesan in if you've got it. I've also done a blend of red peppers and tomatoes instead of just tomatoes, and that was good too.)

i shall try this and report back

is 2 tbsp a lot of butter?
