@Memor-X No, you don't want to do that. Spinney drives, at this point, are only for NAS, large media files (videos), and maybe large games, and for that last one, you probably want a hybrid drive. SSD or NVME/M.2 for OS

I mean, SSD's aren't exactly cheap either, but they are a lot more affordable than they were couple years ago

from what I've heard/read, going from SATA SSD to M.2 SSD is not a huge boost in performance, but going from HDD to SSD is like night and day

M.2 is of course faster than Sata, but it's not even close to the difference between HDD and SSD

wow, SSD prices have really dropped since I last checked. 1tb Samsung Evo is only ~270$

when I was buying my SSD, I paid almost that much for my 480gb and it's not even Samsung

speaking of SSDs - when I first moved to Canada, my wife had a crappy old dell desktop with an intel core2duo. That thing was sooooo slow, we were so close to getting rid of it. Instead I got her a 120gb SSD and it completely revived the machine...

she used that PC for over a year after, until the motherboard died due to old age, had zero complaints about it

before the SSD it was so slow, it was barely usable

@Chippies 500 is the optimal size these days coz lower capacity drives have significantly slower speeds if you check any benchmarking stats

@Memor-X m.2 ssds like samsung 960/970 are ~3 times faster than sata ssds but go for the same price

@Hakase DS4Windows doesn't add more input latency than x360ce, it's just that the game most likely recognized the controller both as a xinput compatible controller (from ds4windows) and a dinput controller (native DS4 controller). There's a setting in ds4windows to hide the ds4 controller and only show it as an xbox 360 controller, which most likely would've solved the issue.

Ofc it also took a day longer than expected because the schedule on the website was wrong and the schedule at the bus terminal was also wrong and even if they were right it wouldn't have mattered because one of the buses I was meant to transfer to got lost(?) and everyone had to get shuffled onto a different bus that they hastily redirected

Q: Increasing xp dropped by mobs?

Can you increase the amount of xp dropped by mobs in 1.13? I know I can make a system using commands that will give you xp when you kill a mob through scoreboards, but I was wondering if there's a way to do it straight at the source, maybe through data packs? I thought maybe by making a loot tab...

disabling/enabling that "hide" checkbox means it just won't work in one of the cases so that's not it

also you probably have a powerful computer and so it's not an issue for you, but me and OP most likely have a slower build
