@Memor-X Yep. They encourage you to continue with the story, but for the most part, its not necessary until you're ready.

Mostly through the morale mechanic; doing what Shallie wants increases her morale, which let's her move faster and some other stuff.

@Memor-X Out of battle; easier to avoid fights and whatnot.

The bonuses for high morale are nice, but don't break the game. So you can pause the story indefinitely while you grind out items and equipment.

@Frank that was one of my beefs with the countdown in the Arland Trilogy. i could make really, really, really kick ass equipment if i just had the time to fine tune some of the components that were needed

Belgium has a flat 10% tax on buying stuff on top of what you pay to the seller. which can is some situations (such as it being your only house and the house fullfilling certain criteria) be reduced to 5%. Plus costs for the creation of the act. I bought a house that fullfilled the criteria, and ended up with ~10-12% on top of the buying price...
