I sit on the 5th floor. I decided to get food on the 14th floor today. I got onto a crowded elevator and hit 8, since I usually eat on the 8th floor. I decide that, to save face, I'll just get off on 8 and wait for the next elevator. So when the doors opened, I rushed out of the elevator...onto the 7th floor. Then I caught an elevator that got to the 14th floor at the same time as the people I bailed on.
